Great experience. We found a great sectional for out hard to fit room. The value was fantastic. We also brought an ottaman. We purchased on Sunday, and the furniture was delivered on Tuesday, for a half the cost other stores were quoting to deliver and set up. Bravo Marjens!

Waited a little bit before I wrote the review to make sure the items would would "withstand the test of time." Items were purchased in August. I gotta say I'm very satisfied so far. Guys we're very nice, didn't hard sell, gave me "white glove" delivery and set up for 4 items for $85 total (can't beat that). The furniture was two dressers, a mirror, and a desk. Delivery was a little late but for $85 bucks I didn't complain. I would recommend them to anyone just be aware that 1-4 pm delivery can mean 4:15 pm but where isn't that the case? Another thing I liked about these guys was that their prices are unbeatable, the same items from Ashley are 25% less expensive at Marjen.

Not worth your time or money. Awful customer service. They don't seem to know what is going on and can't seem to figure out a solution for the customers. You are seriously better off spending a little more money somewhere else to save your time and frustration.

I recently went to this shop for buying Sofa set, though the prices are cheaper, but the customer experience is horrible, changing of delivery dates, no respect to the customer.. you will find all possible hassles at this shop.
29th Mar 2014 - I had been to their shop in downtown to order the furniture. Ofcourse, I wasn't sure whether to buy at this place or not. Because my friend referred this place, I came to this place and found a good sofa set @ 1100 $ price including love seat and recliner seat. It was a good deal, but the way the owner interacted with me was rude, no respect for the customers. The sales representative initially said, it can be delivered on next Wed/Thu before I make up my mind.
Once I paid the money [half the price], Grant told me that he will give me a call on Monday to let me know about delivery date.
I was expecting the call, Grant didn't called me. On Tuesday 1st April, I called him and asked about delivery, he replied it will be on Friday 4th April 2014.
On Friday, I have again called Grant and then he replied, it will be coming Monday. He told me that he will give me confirmation on Sunday about delivery on Monday.
He didn't called me at all on Sunday. So I called him again on Monday asking for the delivery date, then he said, it will be on Wed 9th April 2014 and he will confirm the time on Tuesday 8th April. He didn't called me again!!, what a wonderful customer service they have..
I called him again on 8th April in the evening and he said the delivery would be on coming Friday or Monday.. keep changes the dates :). I paid money for this kind of customer service.
I completely disappointed, lost hope on these guys and requested them to pay my money back. Fortunately, the gentlemen "Grant" accepted to return my money. I am happy for not making business with this company, who don't think about customers, the responsibility to make sure customer is informed upfront about delivery schedule changes.
Be careful while getting into business with this company.. its ok to pay more and get a good customer service instead of cheaper prices.
Update on 14-Apr-2014: Guys, the sales ppl and owner of this shop are big liers and fraud. The sales person "Grant" told me that they will refund my money back to my credit card and they haven't done it so far. It is almost more than a week and when I called him, he asked to contact my credit card bank for the refund. Be careful about these guys, don't even go there for any business. I have disputed the transaction thru my credit card bank and they are in the process of investigating this.
On the other hand, I found the better furniture [better than the one I chose in this store] in Ashley store in Schaumburg at the price $100 more. It is worth and obsolutely fine to extra 100 $ and get good service, reliable source. Its a good lesson for me.

I would avoid buying anything from Marjen. I bought a poor quality mattress at a cheap price, which is what I expected, but they lied to me 4 times and the first mattress had been through a fire and smelled of smoke.
Lie #1 was a classic bait and switch. I went there in response to a Chicago Reader ad, which I brought in. When I asked about the mattress mentioned in the ad, the salesman very quickly said "Oh, I know nothing about that. I don't write the ads." And started talking about their other deals. Since they had a mattress in my price range I bought anyway.
Lie #2: When I got that first mattress home and unwrapped it, it smelled of smoke. Clearly, it had been through a fire. They never told me.
Lie #3: So, I returned to the store. I asked to see a manager. "Sorry there is manager on duty." This despite the fact that it was a Friday during business hours, there was a fellow there who was being called "boss" and that same fellow had been there when I bought the mattress and was clearly in charge then.
Lie #4: They were shocked - SHOCKED - that it smelled of smoke. How could that happen? That just could not be the case. But they allowed me to get a new mattress and delivery was free (only about 4 blocks) without any fight. The protests were like the bait-and-switch lines, too quickly and easily delivered, in other words well practices.
As I said the mattress is terrible, but I bought it at the cheapest possible price. We're only here for 6 months and needed something very quick. However, in hind sight, I should have waited another day and gone to the other local mattress place.
I find Marjens the epitome of sleazy, dishonest business practices. Maybe you can find something there for a cheap price but I would prefer doing business with honest people. There are more than enough cheap furniture options -- including Freecycle -- that no one ever needs to shop there.
Bottomline: AVOID
