Great local Chicago Pizza

I always have to try all the different pizza places in every city to which I travel. When we arrived there was an hour wait. The entry was packed, but with it being cold outside it was cozy inside. They brought out whole pizzas about every 15 minutes for the people waiting to try. I thought that was pretty nice. I enjoye Lou's pizza. We had the deep dish cheese and garlic bread. They were both great. I would come back again!

A MUST EAT AT Restaurant!

We were traveling through Chicago and had to use the restroom more than anything. After trying a diner down the road only to find it packed, we decided on this place, even though we didn't really want Italian. It ended up being the BEST pizza I have ever had! The salad dressing was amazing (a sweet Italian). The pasta sauce was great. The lunch portions were huge. The prices were very reasonable, especially for the quality of the food. The dining room is very nice, and hidden from the walk in traffic. They had frozen pizza available to purchase. If I had been on my way home, I would have bought several. I am just heading to their website to see if I can order them there. I would love to order the salad really was great. If I go back to Chicago, this will definitely be a place I go back to. I would be tempted to make a special trip just for the pizza again!

Love Lou's pizza, but NOT dining there!

Lou Malnati's is my favorite deep dish pizza. I love the buttery crust, gooey cheese, and fresh tangy sauce. One night, some friends & I dined at their Wrightwood location, which looks like a sports bar. We were treated poorly. We suspected it was because of our punk rock style. We were ignored for a long time, and when trying to get our order taken, they kept saying 'in a minute'. A minute turned into about 30. Finally we had our order taken by a rude inpatient waitress, and waited TWO HOURS for the pizza, though people who came in after us had their food in prompt timing, & were treated nice. We were insulted with how we were treated, ate our pizza, paid and left. However because their pizza is so good, I still order it for delivery, but I will never dine at that location again.

Deep Dish

This place is classic Chicago. You gotta try it. My friends like the thin crust, I like the deep dish. The deep dish pizza here isnt' stuffed (a la Giordano's), rather it is similar to Pizzeria Uno's...just a tad different.
