Little Hands Learning Center is the best daycare on the south side of Chicago! My husband and I looked all around our Beverly neighborhood and could not find one the offers what LHLC has offered our children. I have two girls and they have both excelled tremendously in their hands. My oldest (who started at 18 months) is graduating this year just got accepted into Lenart Regional Gifted School thanks to the advanced and challenging academic they provide. My youngest (who started at 8 weeks old) just loves Ms. Angelica. She is truly a baby whisperer. I cannot say enough positive things about her. She has calmed a lot of my fears and has a special bond with each child in her classroom. Thanks LHLC...one down one more to go!
Little Hands Learning Center is a wonderful school. This is my son’s second year there and we both love it. He has learned so much since starting school there and his teachers have all been the most warm and loving people. He especially loved Ms. Yvonne, Ms. Jennifer, and now Mrs. Pam. The entire staff has been great to my family and I’m looking forward to watching my son continue to mature and excel.
Little Hands has been a great learning environment for my son! He is so very smart, capable, and independent due to the phenomenal teachers at Little Hands Learning Center.
My son has been at little hands since he was 9 months old and it has served as a great foundation for his pre-K years. Thanks for everything you do at LHLC!
This summer is bittersweet as my baby will be leaving behind a family that helped mold him into the intelligent, kind, nurturing, charismatic young man that he is today. After a year of searching for a school that would challenge our son and love him as we do and when I walked into Little Hands I literally fell in love. The state of the art equipment and advanced curriculum was only an added bonus to the genuine staff that closed the deal of sending Daylin here. These 4 years we have witnessed the immense growth of Daylin's learning ability, speech, social interactions and overall maturity, for that we will always be grateful for Little Hands and recommend this school to anyone we may encounter in need of exactly what we were, an extended family!!!
Little Hands Learning Center promotes a positive school culture in an environment that is safe and nurturing. The teachers inspire and motivate the students to work hard and to be life long learners. The school's culture is largely determined by the commitment, values and shared beliefs of the parents and staff.
I absolutely love Little hands learning center! My daughter has been attending since she was about 19 months old and 3 classrooms later I can proudly say that my toddler is growing academically as well as socially. They have such a great learning structure where the kids can learn not just from the books but also through dance, music, culture etc. I also feel very comfortable when I drop her off for the day because I know she is in good hands. The Staff and Directors are very friendly and provide opportunities for the parents to get to know each other as well as offer great events for the kids to have fun! I could go on forever but I will say that LHLC is one the best preschools in the Chicago area that I have seen so far. Keep up the good work!
My son started here through the summer program last year, because he became too advanced for his prior preschool. Since attending, he is being challenged, growing, and loves learning. The staff is present, teachers active, and family involved. What I was sold is what I received. I love it and would recommend it to anyone.
LHLC is by far the best academic center in the community. My child has blossomed intellectually and socially since her attendance there. Their academic structure, encouragement of family involvement and compassionate staff are reasons I can drop my child off in the morning with confidence and a smile.
My daughter has been with Little Hands for the past two years and I am beyond impressed with this school. The curriculum is very advanced. The teachers are amazing. I am very proud of my daughter's academic growth over the past two years.
One thing I love about Little Hands is the children are exposed to a variety of topics and subject areas. For example, my daughter and I were watching TV one day and an actor was holding a magazine. My daughter said, "Look Mommy it says Taj Mahal". I asked her what did she know about the Taj Mahal and she said, "it's a building in India!" I was instantly stunned. My daughter was only 3 at the time!!! This is a testament of what the children are learning at Little Hands and their understanding of the curriculum.
Another strength of Little Hands is the strong sense of community. When you walk into the school, you will instantly get a sense of love and family. They foster an atmosphere of learning, trust, love, and respect.
This is a GREAT school!
Little Hands Learning Center (LHLC) has been a wonderful experience for my son. My son started at LHLC when he was 3 years old and is entering his last year. From the age of 6 months until 3 years old my son received developmental therapy. It was important that we find a preschool that would continue to work on improving his delays and get him on track for his age. LHLC turned out to be that and more! My son gets a developmental evaluation yearly and since attending LHLC he has scored above average in every area. LHLC has nurtured him, along will teaching and guiding him.
In addition to addressing developmental delays it was important to find a school that had a curriculum but also allowed children to be children. LHLC is the perfect blend of the two. My son can read, write, add & subtract, speak in Spanish, and continues to amaze me with the knowledge he has obtained. Overall, I am beyond pleased with the LHLC staff, directors, and my sons overall experience.
I Couldn't ask for anything more. I will forever be indebted to the Little Hands Learning Center Staff. The educational foundation they have given my child is something my family will forever be grateful for. I love the way they integrate work and play. Not only have they given her the tools she needs to be an amazing student but I feel blessed to be a part of the loving family atmosphere they have created between the students, staff, and the parents. Keep up the great work!
When it comes to child care, I can't settle for anything less than the best for my child. With LHLC, I don't have to settle.
My daughter has been at Little Hands when she was almost 2 years old. Since then, she's gone on multiple fields trips including various farms, museums, local plays. She's been exposed to various cultures through global learning. She is working on several languages such as Spanish, Mandarin, and Sign, not to mention a couple of other phrases that she has learned through global learning. Sometimes, I find it difficult to keep up with her learning, but through handouts, the LHLC website, and the amazing teachers input, I can almost keep up with my now four year olds learning pace. Little Hands also had a variety of physical activities that cater to all of the children.
I will say that there is a downside to Little Hands.... Trying to get my child to leave school everyday. Little Hands showers my baby with so much knowledge and love that she doesn't want to leave.
My daughter has been at little hands for about 3.5 years and to see her grow into an amazing little girl is an understatement . She is well spoken and the lhlc curriculum makes her so well rounded with dance, Spanish , mandarin, private piano; I don't think I could have ask for more- the academics is amazing and builds an excellent foundation for little ones - she has been reading books on her own since 4 years old and doing math on a first grade level. The field trips and special events are icing on the cake, the mother tea party and father feast. The little hands community includes super involved families and the most caring directors you will ever meet! If I had to do it all over again, I would choose little hands... As a matter of fact we just enrolled outer 9 month old there as well, we are so happy to be a part of the little hands family
Each of my sons started Lhlc at age 2 and I watched them be cared for and nurtured all the way to graduation and beyond. LHLC challenged my children beyond my wildest dreams. Not only did LHLC provide a solid academic curriculum, the "extras" set them apart from other pre schools. From dance, cooking, music, and science instruction to foreign language, computer technology LHLC has it all. The staff and teachers are very welcoming and attentive to the entire family. I am proud to say that next month I will be the proud parent of two LHLC alums who got into their first choice of selective enrollment schools.
If you are looking for a full day preschool learning center that has it all, look no more! LHLC is the real deal and is absolutely amazing. This school is on an entirely different level than all the other schools we toured. Mrs. Griffin and Ms. Brent are extremely passionate directors and make everyone feel like family, the teachers are creative and loving and the curriculum has it all! I love the special events for families to stay connected, the academics and the creative and hands-on learning. I am so glad this school is located in my area and that my children are able to attend.

This is a phenomenal school!!! I had two children and they both not only loved it the three years they attended, but after they both graduated they were accepted into the same gifted school --top in the state. My daughters and my husband absolulely loved the program. Check out their video with parent testimonials at their website at www.littlehandspreschool com and you will see why so many parents love the school and why the buzz in Chicago is Little Hands LEarning Center. Accelerated academics, well-balanced and individualized curriuculum, fine arts programs - Dance, music, Math, Science fair, enrichment programs, end of the year production, Family environment and loving and FUN environment....the list goes on and on. This school gets more students into top selected enrollment schools than any other school in Chicago. I love both the directors & assistant director and although they have three locations, the personal attention you receive is amazing!!! I had over 4 friends who refered me and now I refer everyone I know! They always lived up to my expectations. Warm and nuturing staff, advanced curriculum and great events that involve parent participation. Don't send your children anywhere else...

We had our child at LLLC for almost two years. A scheduling conflict forced us to find a new day school. Thus, we were able to compare schools and evaluate which school was worth the price. When our child was two, we knew he was in good hands with the teacher Ms. Angelica and the first aid Ms. Evelia. A later aid in the room was not as dedicated. The room was self-contained but looked dilapidated. When our child was three, he was moved to the larger or main room that is shared with the four year olds. This big room housed two classrooms, thus when the four year olds were getting a music lesson, the three year olds were being distracted as their teacher tried to attempt a reading lesson. Why LLLC has not built a divider so each class could be seperated is beyond me. Moreover, the three year old class teacher often seemed overwhelmed and the young aid had very little personality. Most disturbing, we experienced coldness from other staff at times. When we changed to another school it had longer hours, a self-contained rooms for all ages, and a cleaner building with a large play-yard, we were surprised that is was cheaper. LLLC has a very small yard that is nearly void of any meaningful playground equipment. To LLLC's credit, they do take the children on many field trips that our child seemed to enjoy. But, the learning experience could be improved. We discovered many lessons were not age appropriate and were too advanced.
