Kingdom Chevy sold me a used vehicle with the incorrect engine; car can't pass emissions and is useless.

I purchased a used 2007 Ford Escape from Kingdom Chevrolet. After the purchase, I took it to 3 different mechanics to have the "Check Engine" light issue repaired. The computer was showing a "Camshaft timing" error.
Eventually, after a lot of time, energy and money invested in diagnosis, it was determined that the engine in the vehicle was incorrect. We don't know which model year or style this engine is for, but it is definitely not for this vehicle.
I called Kingdom Chevrolet to let them know the situation. Their response was to stonewall and claim they have zero liability for this.
All of my paperwork says that I purchased a 2007 Ford Escape. Nothing on the paperwork states that I was purchasing the engine for a different vehicle. I did not agree to purchase the body of one vehicle and the engine of another. This was a material fact not disclosed to me prior to the purchase of this vehicle.
I've been helping my friend search for a car for about a month. We found a very nice 2010 chevy traverse on their website for a very reasonable 20k. We spoke to a sales person and he was very informative and friendly. My friend does not have the best of credit, needless to say when he came at us with an offer with an outrageous interest and final payment of almost 40k we decided to decline. He then became very upset and told me he has been doing this for a long time and I did not know what I was doing. We walked out and we forgot we had given him the title to my friends trade in. We came back inside and The sales manager heard his sales guy getting loud and upset and decided to intervene. He was very apologetic and asked him for the title. He replied "I threw it in the shreder" again the sales manager apologized and retrieved our title from the shredder box.
My family is in the Chicago area and their vehicle broke down. The vehicle is at you facility. My husband has told me of the wonderful service he has received from your staff. I would like to extend my sincerest thanks to everyone. This is a difficult situation but your staff has made a world of difference. Again, thank you for helping out my family.
This has been one of the best experiences of my life. Chris was beyond awesome.My credit and income every month is very limited. While one sales guy was quick to give up on me Chris and Dimittri made sure i stayed in a great mood and told me hold on and have faith. The first car was not fitting my needs at all. but because of my situation i knew i had to br grateful for a second chance. just as we were signing the paper work they called Chris and told him they found me something 4 years newer and 50 dollars less a month. I went to 4 dealerships in two days and he was painful to keep hearing no. Not only did i get a car but i received hope that i can take baby steps to rebuild my credit and that was like a breath of fresh air. Chris by faris friendly polite outgoing and he is just a guy who loves his job, That's so hard to find these days. Thank you Chris for making this one of the happiest days of my life.P.S don't be surprised if i pop up with lunch. its on me after all you guys are saving me 50bucks a month keep up the outstanding work. be blessed.
