Not a great experience

They were offering a free hairstyle event, so I thought I would try them out having recently moved back to Chicago. The salon was extremely loud and my stylist was running very late....not a good first impression. She did a good job with the style so I thought I'd give her a 2nd chance and get a cut. Welll....she was late the 2nd time also. They always make you look great in the salon...it wasn't until I got home that I realized how bad the cut was and I still had split ends. She also desperately tried to talk me into hair products despite my telling her I only use what my Dermatologist recommends. I hate it when hairdressers act like they went to medical school or have any sort of science degree. Don't push products on people that aren't good for them just to make money for yourself. And always remember that just because you pay more, doesn't mean you get a better service or product.

what a rip off!

don't get me wrong, this place was very nice but misleading. I found them off the internet and called to ask if they take walk ins. the receptionist said yes and that i could come in that night after 4. I took a 20 minute train ride and found the salon. I walked in and they told me that there was no openings all night. I then made an appointment for that next morning for a hair cut costing me $30 but $25 for having my student id. I walk in and show them my id and they tell me that id discounts are only during the week. I thought only 5 bucks more, sure why not? I get my hair cut and my stylist tells me that she is going to blow dry my hair to see the results. The cut was average, nothing spectacular. I went to the desk to pay and my total was $50! They charged me $20 extra for blow drying my hair, which i thought was complimentary since the stylist didn't ask me before doing it. I could have done a better job myself.

Awesome

I am new to the chicago area and was looking for a salon near by, K Paige was the closest and so I called to see who had availability. Mary was open for a partial highlight and haircut so i booked an appointment with her. She greeted me with a great smile, we talked for a few minutes about what i had wanted done. She is great. we had a great conversation and i loved what she did with my hair. She was very down to earth and she gave me tips on how to style my bangs which are the most difficult and my over all hair. She also recommended great products. I use the Enjoy shaping lotion everyday and love it. I will deffinatley go back.
