New to the city from New York. After belonging to a NYSC for almost 5 years I thought all gyms were alike...and then came this place. The sales team spent over 45 minutes asking me about me fitness goals, and then showed me everything they offered to help me meet them. Shell is outstanding ask for her if you really want a person who cares about you. They made sure I was comfortable by offering me free personal training. Mike the trainer took his time making sure I knew what I was doing. I felt bad I couldn't afford the training but I did recommend 2 of my co-workers who are going to buy training from him...does that make up for me being cheap. Not the cheapest place around but clearly many steps above what I received at other clubs.
Never been a big fan of big health clubs but this place makes you feel good. Always friendly staff willing to help with everything. The club is kept very clean. I especially enjoyed the time the sales department spent with me to find out exactly what I needed to be successful on the new ""path of health"". I read that quote from 2006 and am shocked. They must have gotten the hint, because I have nothing but great things to say about this place
All the staff is great! Great environment, with a mixture of both older and younger group. Always looking to please the member as the customer service group is so helpful. Great managing team keeps everything running so smoothly. I would definetly recommend it to everyone!

Although it is an okay club and I have generally no bad things to say about the equipment, the treatment towards current members is horrible. Recently, their classrooms went under construction without notifying us (or the teachers) and when we showed up for class we were greeted by a sign. It took a week for them to put up a sign that we couldn't attend for an additional 2 weeks. When management was approached, they refused to compensate anyone for the inconvenience, suspend membership during the remodel, or even admit their communication was lacking. I was even told that the upgrades were because they were expecting new members. Why should current members pay for that? Even the teachers felt that we should be reimbursed for the time we couldn't attend.
Obviously this club is only out to make $$$ on new members and doesn't care about the ones that are already under contract.
Go for Equinox. The facility is much nicer and you can bet that when my membership is up, that's where I'll be.
