This is my favorite club in Wicker Park and probably the best bar in the area for a girl to hang out at. Its really cool - lots of rock and dance music. If you dont mind 'hipsters' its a neat place to spend the evening. Drinks are pretty cheap and it has a very pretty interior. I once went in here to hang out and Lindsay Lohan was inside so the place was so crowded we had to leave - but other than that its an amazing nightclub. Wednesday nights are the best - burlesque girl rock show with a funny comedian guy as the host. Its cool!

I can never get the image of two sweaty drunk 19 year old kids grinding on the dance floor out of my mind (Hate bars that don't card hard). The bartenders are always slow and favor their regulars/friends. There is no ventilation - it is always too hot in there. Too many other bars in the area to waste your time at Debonair.

I love the No Tell Motel! It happens every Wednesday night at Debonair. It's a burlesque show with stunning girls dancing to rock and techno music. Unlike a strip club, these girls don't get completely undressed, but they do comedy, choreographed stunts and circus style tricks instead. They are gorgeous girls who are very charming and keep the audience going crazy. The host is a really funny comedian who wears a fake mustache and screams at the crowd to get them excited. Its a great show!

I went and checked out Angela Eve and Eve's parlor last night at the No Tell Motel [Weekly burlesque show at debonair every Wednesday night]
It was incredible! The show was very good - the girls were all gorgeous and the host was hillarious. I'll definetly be going back!

I would avoid this club at all cost. They stole money from my debit card. The customers are lame. The people who work there are even lamer. This was the worst club experience I have had in chicago since I moved here 7 years ago. wow. run in the other direction.

We went there and it was horrible. Miller Lites were $5 and there was a $30 minimum for credit cards. The bartender told an african american patron standing next to me that ""you're going to have to wait since I don't expect a tip from someone like you."" Needless to say, the guy was not pleased. Regardless, the service was slow and there were 2 bartenders serving the whole bar. Good thing they had like 7 bouncers out front though.

For a club like this in Wicker Park, it has major attitude problems. The bartenders are mediocre and very rude! Drinks shouldnt cost this much. If I wanted expensive drinks with a bunch of posers, then I would of gone to the clubs in downtown. AVOID!

I went to the Debonair on the night of New Years Eve. We paid $20 just to get in the door at about 1 a.m., and they were closing at 2. My boyfriend stood at the bar, which was not very busy, for nearly 20 minutes before receiving service. He ordered an energy drink with Vodka; the drink was short and cost $9, which is pricey for this neighborhood. The bartender then proceeded to spill his drink as she was giving him back his receipt. She continued to help other customers and neglected to refill his drink. After several minutes, as she stood idly dancing and eating her pizza, I tapped her on the shoulder and said ""Excuse me, can you refill this drink that you spilled?"" She rolled her eyes at me, brushed me off with a hand gesture and walked away. Shocked, I said more loudly, ""Excuse me!"" and she flipped me off.
As you can imagine, we were furious and atempted to speak to a manager, which we were denied. Another bartender said she would ""get"" the manager, and she walked away and never returned. My boyfriend asked a bouncer, and he too would not let him speak to the club manager.
This incident ruined our evening, not to mention it was a total waste of $50. Plus, neither the music and atmosphere were worth the cover charge. This is a great neighborhhood, and there are plenty of other bars and clubs worth going to.
