Mimi's is owned by the same awful company that appears to own Pea in the Pod and Motherhood. Their clothes look almost appealing on the rack, but take them into that cruddy little dressing room, and it's clear that the quality of the fabric, construction, and fit are terrible. Somehow they think the same product they're offering at Motherhood is worth a 150% markup here. The tiny space is crammed so tight it's hard to shop, the selection of sizes is dismal, and I can't believe they won't even put a fresh coat of paint or fix the dangling doorknob in the dressing room in one of the most expensive commercial buildings in the U.S.
Totally desperate for pants for a board meeting tomorrow morning, I bought two pairs of $80 super-basic ""suiting"" pants. The transaction ended when the cashier shoved a receipt at me and asked me to initial their ""return"" policy: bring it back within 10 days for store credit only.
This chain deserves its fate.
Overall the service before I purchased the dress was decent. Accomodating staff, smiles, laughs etc. However as a bridesmaid it was our responsibility to personally pay for our dresses. The Owner's Daughter (Erin) assured us that she would hold our infomation and charge our Credit Cards No earlier than Dec 1...however they credit cards were charged immediately....(no big deal...just a little suprised)
After Ordering the dress the staff offered NO support. I had a family emergency come up and was unable to participate in the wedding; I still have the dress, unopenned, tags in tact, hung and in plastic..but when i needed to exchange the dress or get a credit from the vendor the staff simply gave me the "All Sales Final" explaination. This was not explained prior to my purchase and I wish the staff or Owner would have been more KIND as to offering examples or alternatives of what to do in these type of situations.
