Stokes Auto Service in Bridgeport is the greatest ever!! My 1995 Bonnieville broke down on me the other day at a stop light. Since I was in Bridgeport returning home from my friend’s, I had no idea where to have it towed to. Thankfully, my friend called a few friends for a referral and I had my car towed to Stokes. He immediately checked it out, and not only found the problem of why it died on me, but another ongoing problem of which over the last few years I had taken to numerous mechanics who couldn’t figure it out. He noticed the alternator in my car was not the correct one and the mechanic that installed it forced it in and cracked my Intake Manifold. I was shocked he figured this out, especially so quickly and I hadn’t even mentioned any other issues. He knew my car like the back of his hand! My car was ready 2 days later and now is running like new! He was wonderful! He was spot-on in diagnosing my car within a couple of hours. He thoroughly explained everything to me. Their prices are fair and reasonable and I know he did quality work. I was very comfortable with him. He could have taken advantage of me since my car was towed there and I was “stuck”. But he didn’t. I know I would have paid much more for the same work elsewhere. Money is tight for me and he did all that work within my budget that we discussed. Stokes Auto Service is professional, honest and I got the heartfelt feeling that he really cared about my safety (not the money) and wasn’t going to let me leave with a car that may have jeopardized my safety. And he didn’t know me from Adam! I am so very happy that I have found a mechanic that I can trust! I will not go anywhere else, because being a woman; I have been ripped off by mechanics in the past. I totally damaged the whole passenger side of my car , coming out of a parking lot and catching the fire hydrant that was hiding to my right as I turned. To make matters worse , when I first heard the sound I didn't realize what it was and so I continued to tear through both doors and the back. After making a claim with my insurance , the adjuster came to my work to assess the damage. His estimate was $ 1800 , which seemed really low , by looking at the extent of the damage. Not that I would know . A co-worker had just fixed his suv at National Body Works , and he was very happy with the repair so i called and made an appointment. The first thing I noticed when I got there was all the competition ( 3 body shops within 1 block ) & yet they were busy. The staff was very helpful and friendly . The owner , Sasan explained to me that its always better to have the adjuster go to a shop to see the car & assess the damage . because ,he said ,he will disassemble the car and find all the hidden damage with the adjuster present so the estimate he writes would be accurate, Preventing delays and maximizing my coverage . something to keep in mind if I ever damage my car in the future. He called my insurance for a re-inspection; my rent a car arrived and I left. 3 days later he called to tell me that the final estimate the insurance approved is $ 3345.00 . that's almost double the original estimate. He said that many insurances like to skip out on a lot of necessary steps in the repair to save money. but his job is to fight for the customer. That was good to hear. the best part is that he gave me a $500 discount by applying discount coupons to my bill. So its like not paying my deductable .A week and half later I went to pick up my car & WOW.... What accident ? it was perfect . she was detailed & looking great. They even repaired the dent I had on my front fender , at no charge. Im so happy!!!

I search for a car on the internet for a year and a half found Western Nissan Avenue I saw a white Nissan Frontier 2008 manual shift for $14,000.00 it took me three days to get a sales person to take me serious. I finally spoke to Don and I ask him to check the car to make sure that it is manual shift he told me yes. I ask what was the next step they fax me the invoice I sent the company a Cashier Check by FEDEX it took 10 days to clear. I got a shipping company to pick up my truck they were the best my truck arrived before the date. My truck had to stay on the US dock for 10 days before export to the Bahamas. When my truck arrive I was very disappointed it was AUTOMATIC not MANUAL TRANSMISSION it was dirty , smelly, no gas and Air conditioning not working. I contacted David to ask for some refund because that was false advertisement with the truck no reply no answer this company don't follow through with there customers. If they follow through I would have sent this company plenty of business but they didn't .I was able to drive the car off the dock with no problem and it still working well after 5 months, I was able to get the ac fix. Overall they just need to be careful with the details of what they advertise on vehicles. I will buy from they again but I will fly to Chicago to see the vehicle. M. Smith from The Bahamas!
I highly recommend Integrity of Chicago for every car buyer/shopper. I went to Integrity because I noticed the type of high end cars on their lot. I was greeted by a very nice salesman (Brad Pitt). I explained to him that I was looking to buy a car because my previous car had caught fire. I also made him very aware that my credit score was very low and I didn't feel that I would qualify for a line of credit. Brad made me feel so comfortable when explaining to me that they actually work with people with bad credit and told me not to worry. I had Brad process my credit, but I left the dealership not feeling too hopeful. As soon as I got home, I got a call from Brad and he asked me "am I ready to drive today?" I was shocked. The Finance office was willing to work with me...By the way, George is an Awesome Dude, lol :) The got me approved for a 2004 Saab 9-3. The car is amazing, the service was great. This was a great car buying experience. I didn't even sit in the dealership a long time. The process was so fast and easy. I still had time to make it to work that day. I'm kinda glad that every other car lot in Chicago told me no because I would rather shop with people that are kind and respects their customers. I got a chance to meet a lot of cool people. Very knowledgeable and professional staff. I would shop here again and again. :)
I got rear ended last week while sitting behind a red light. The guy has no insurance & I am going to have to pay for the repairs & then try to sue him. Anyway , I drive by National Body Works everyday on my way to work. Actually there are a lot of body shops in this area. I went to total of 5 shops to get the best price since I’m paying for it. Every shop said I have to replace my bumper and trunk lid. All the estimates were over $1350 plus any hidden damage that they can’t see but all assured me there was definitely hidden damage . That is all except National . I could see that The estimator at national was really trying to keep my cost down since I told him I’m paying out of pocket. Nationals quote was $790 since they were able to save my parts & not buy new. I asked about all the hidden damages & he said that he already knows what is damaged & its included in the price. I couldn’t believe it , so I gave them the car before he changes his mind or realizes that he made a mistake. Needless to say there was no mistake . I picked up my car 4 days later and it looked great. These guys are real pros . definitely recommend them to everyone I know
Once again Western and Bryn Mawr Auto repair helped me and got my 20 year old car running. I would hate to be the mechanic that fixes my car because my car is so old and am sure my car is hard to work on. Sami and George's mechanics are always nice, friendly and very respectful with me and I always walk away with a feeling like my job would have costed more had I gone to say a dealership. These are good neighborhood guys they always are more than fair with me and they keep my little ford in tip top shape for a 20 year old car. This time they did my break pads, rotors, tie rod, ball joint, 1 stud 2 calipers and an oil change. I am not going to say what I paid but asked around and everyone I asked guessed a much higher price than what these two brothers charged me. They are truly angels and are the best. Let me also add that my 20 year old car starts up like a brand new car in the cold weather and I really think it is because Sami and George's mechanics take such good care of my car. I bring it in every 3 months for an oil change and they look it over for me and make sure it is safe for me to drive. I am so thankful to them.
This is the only place I would ever take my vehicle to get work done. My truck (2013 Jeep Cherokee) is my baby and when it was hit while parked, B&L made everything smooth and gave me reassurance that everything would be taken care of. It wasn't just because that is what they have to say, but you felt as though you were getting the best work from how their people are with you (ie. front desk, estimator, workers & even the owners who are not just sitting in their office, but getting their hands dirty too). They made sure all was done and they took care of all paperwork with the insurance and called the rental place to have us picked up. I didn't have to worry or do anything, they did it all and with a smile. I LOVED IT and the work that was done, you couldn't find anything wrong with it and it was done within the time they said it would be. No time changes, they called with updates. This has been one of the best experiences of my life. Chris was beyond awesome.My credit and income every month is very limited. While one sales guy was quick to give up on me Chris and Dimittri made sure i stayed in a great mood and told me hold on and have faith. The first car was not fitting my needs at all. but because of my situation i knew i had to br grateful for a second chance. just as we were signing the paper work they called Chris and told him they found me something 4 years newer and 50 dollars less a month. I went to 4 dealerships in two days and he was painful to keep hearing no. Not only did i get a car but i received hope that i can take baby steps to rebuild my credit and that was like a breath of fresh air. Chris by faris friendly polite outgoing and he is just a guy who loves his job, That's so hard to find these days. I found Marvin through my uncle when my Ford Explore was having problems. I was told by another mechanic that I needed to have all new ball joints. This was going to be over $3000 worth of work. I went to see Marvin and told him I needed a quote to have all my ball joints replaced. After he had my car for an hour he called back and said I needed to have 2 shocks replaced and one new tire. This totaled $200 worth of work. Because he was honest with me I was sold. I have taken 3 different cars to him. He is always fair, honest and never tries to screw me. I have recommended him to many friends who have all had great experiences! For as long as I live in the Chicago area I will bring my car to Marvin's. Marvin's is one of the few businesses left in the neighborhood (in which I grew up in) that has remained true.
