Do Not Use ..... Tar Restoration roofing !!!!I had them come out to repair a spot in my kitchen where the paint was bubbling!12/18 the first repair was done5/18 the paint in my kitchen stated to bubble again! In the same exact spot !!!6/28/18 this time there was actually water running out of a crack in my kitchen ceiling. Again in the same spot!!!July 2 2018 another crew comes out to repair!Really bad workman ship!!!So now Tar Resoration is telling me they won't repair the inside of my kitchen!I have had that repaired 3 times!In person they told me they would repair it!Now it is we don't do that!Tar Restoration people are untrained and do really poor quality of work!And there customer service is just as bad!Do not use Tar Restoration !
You'd be better of living in the street. I had toilets above me leaking into my apartment and it couldn't be fixed because the management company didn't have a permit. ceilings fall in on me, and literally on me. I'm not kidding..the bedroom ceiling fell on me when I was in bed. Plaster and concrete. No calls from management if I'm ok etc. They don't work on weekends (heaven forbid). just awful.
If I could give no stars I would! This is by far the worst building I have ever lived in. Before moving here I couldn’t see any reviews on this building it self but I saw other reviews for the properties in Chicago.Being the suburbs I thought it would be a little bit different. I don’t know where to start with this place and all my bad experiences here. At first I thought it was just me but when I asked other tenants their opinions and complaints it turned out to be the same! If you want a building that has roaches, the smell of weed as soon as you walk in the buildingalso I have seen two mices in the building. On two different occasions there has been a homeless guy sleeping on the side of the stairs in the building because the door is always left open. There is always a party outside in the parking lot or some guys are in the back turning the parking lot into there own mechanic shop. Maintenance is terrible I have called them and made four different work orders for the same thing within a month and they still haven’t fixed it! They gave us parking stickers for the cars which has been purposeless because there are always cars without stickers parking in the lot, we never have parks! I have lived here a year and have went without hot water three times! Imagine coming home and thinking you were going to take a hot shower then to find out the hot water isn’t working (a notice would be nice) and then this would drag out for about two or three days until it’s fixed! When you call the property manager her answer is always the same (I DONT KNOW, LET ME CHECK) but then she nevers calls back! The property manager Valeria Willams is horrible,rude,careless,ghetto,to old to even be in charge of managing buildings. The overall point is she doesn’t really care! This building would better if they did apartment checks frequently and actually came to the building Instead of just collecting the rent! The apartment itself is ok but that doesn’t out way the bad things it comes with!

A TERRIBLE property management company. Too many stories to tell. But here are the top five in the year and a half I have rented from them on Giddings in Lincoln Square. I’m sure I will have more by the time my lease ends.1. After 3 requests and no response to a rodent infestation in my unit and building. I bought 10 traps and 4 poison dispensaries and put them throughout THE BUILDING and my unit. 2 days later the problem was solved after I killed about 20 mice in traps, not sure how many were poisoned. 2. My refrigerator stopped cooling, I got a confirmed time maintenance would show up to fix and they didn’t show up 2 separate scheduled times. I paid out of pocket for someone else to get it fixed. 3. Smoke alarm going off in an unoccupied unit at 10p, I call emergency maintenance and they will not come until the next day to fix. They didn’t fix til 2 days later.4. Tenant moved out below me, power got shut off to unit in the middle of winter, my apartment couldn’t heat above 55, my kitchen pipes froze, my heating bill was 5 times what it was in a normal winter month and they wouldn’t refund.5. Maintenance scheduler lady is extremely rude, unprofessional and does not pay attention to details like unit number and actual problem described. The actual people who perform the maintenance are nice and end up finding out through direct conversations with myself and other tenants that they were misinformed to the actual problems. I blame alot of these issues on her.
