I had read reviews that there was no corking fee at the cafe. We brought liquor, ordered food and a couple of shishas. After about forty five minutes the waitress "reminded" us that there was a $5 per person corking fee for everyone consuming liquor. She said she thought she had mentioned that to us, which she didn't when we made reservations or when we sat down. It was also not mentioned in the menu. At this point we were stuck and had not choice but to pay it. The waitress was also rude, and complained about us in spite of the large bill and big tip she received. In the past we had never had to pay such a fee and the service was great. Maybe we were just there on an off night (or it was the new waitress of four months). I'm not sure if we will return or not.
Absolutely delicious! As everyone else says, the restaurant is pretty pricey (dinner entrees for $14.95 and up), but the food is amazing and portions are huge. Plus, the dinner comes with a buffet of appetizers where you serve yourself. When I went, that included hummus, falafel, tomate soup, chicken barley soup (my favorite!), tabouleh, and maybe one other item. If you're on a budget, come over there for lunch instead. The buffet is $9.95 per person. Whenever you do go, I would recommend any of their chicken entrees with dill rice. If you go for dinner but can't afford the entrees, try the all-you-can-eat appetizer buffet for $9.95.
I have a serious crush on their Special Pizza (qepapa meatballs, onions, and feta cheese) and I don't care who knows it. My advice: Stick to their pizzas and Albanian specialties. The apps can be pretty hit or miss (pass on the mac n' cheese), and the service can be glacially slow if there's a full bar. But the prices are right and the portions are good. Plus, these guys are always so awesome to let our neighborhood association have their twice annual parties here. And any restaurant that keeps the pizza, salads, pasta, and drinks coming while hordes of kiddos run amok and cover tables with construction paper is a-ok with me.
I often dine at Reza's Andersonville location. My favorite is their Reza's Special Boneless Chicken. I get it with their dill rice which is always perfectly prepared. It's fluffy rice with dill and a few lima beans added. If you have room after hving their generous portions, their carrot cake is wonderful.
I love this restaurant. The 8 course prix fixe is a phenomenal deal and super delicious. each dish was like a dining crescendo. it just kept getting better. amazing scallops, calamari, spinach cigars and of course the best bread pudding ever. pretty space along with kind and prompt service.
Forget the food - the great personnel are enough to make you return to this simple restuarant each day. Tasty falafel and fantastic gyros sandwiches! Prices are reasonable and the portions will not leave you hungry. Crowded during prime lunch hours but the lines go fast. Delicious.
Good ethnic Serbian food. (No, I am not Serbian.) Delicious sopska salata, kind of a Greek style salad with farmers cheese. Huge prosciutto-stuffed schnitzle, a tad dry, but good flavor. Fabulous crepes (palacinke).
I love going to this bakery to get their baklava (sorry if I spelled it wrong). They have other similar desert that are equally delicious. They even have a restaurant next door that has the best Lebanese food.
