Great place to shop & buy luxury vinyl in Chicago. Large showroom with plenty of options. I dealt with the owner directly and saved big $$.
I agree with the reviews that state that the owner of this shop is one of the worst businessmen I have ever had to deal with. He never returns phone calls, he verbally gives you low prices and makes "deals" and then screws you over in the end, and I really wish I had seen these other reviews before hiring him. I have absolutely nothing nice to say about that man (Ralph). Horrible horrible experience.
I tried to buy some tiles the other day and it was extremely difficult to get a price from them. Then they tried to switch me to a different tile maker that they are exclusive with. No wonder when I finally got a price on the tile I wanted they were 20% more expensive than a vendor in the suburbs. In their set up a customer seems to pay for the "discount" (starting with a mark up) that they bestow to designers and such, their Labrador-retrievers.
Wish I had looked here first. Ralph comes across as nice, but in the end he is a shrewd businessman who puts NOTHING in writing, and them makes up prices and excuses after the work is done. The NICE ladies in the office cover well for him, but ultimately ALL decisions are made by Ralph who will not return calls, or return to finish his work.
This is the opposite experience I had at an other store near by. No better but different. Here you have miles of tiles to look at but the help is abysmal. Ask them the manufacturer 's name of a mosaic installed on the floor and no one knows. Ask them for a price and they have like a headache, they look at you in the eyes, embarrassed. It looks like they have at least 2 prices and you overpay if you are not an Interior designer (no one discount from their margins in my experience). In any case their selection is kind of bland, not very interesting.
I had Chicagoland Flooring refinish the old, vintage floors in my living and dining room. . The job was a challenge because after carpet removal there were a few areas with dark spots and deep cuts. They were able to replace damaged boards and after sanding and refinishing the hardwood floors turned out very beautiful. I have recommended them to all my friends
This place has been a mainstay in my family for years. The service has been great. There are these ladies who work there that are always very friendly and never fail to give us the best price possible. It's definitely worth the trip we take since we live up in Woodstock, IL.
