The basis of highly educated individuals offering one-to-one instruction on which Ivy League Tutoring was founded is a good one which should be modeled and applauded. However, the fundamentalist approach to education yields two results: thinkers who are taught to be dependant on test scores to define their worth, and only accepting of instruction if offered by representative of a culture the media would depict as better than those whose ancestors developed the first mathematical systems, and began the worlds first universities. As an educator who promotes creative thinking, self-advocacy, and open dialogue about theology and social sciences, I find that this agency may offer high-quality instruction, but should be compared to more holistic approaches to education. It is important to consider your family's values. While our children must be supported and challenged academically throughout their lives, it is equally important to develop well rounded, independent thinkers who grow into positive contributors to society. Ivy league Tutoring is an effective band-aid; however, your scholar may benefit from programs which enhance life long study and time management skills while building confidence in the individual's gifts, talents and many ways of being intelligent and successful. Rote memorization of standardized test question answers will never produce a true genus. The Creator has endowed us each with talents to be developed. While the tutors here are great at academics, they cannot compare to learning from people who care about the learner's whole person and believe in the power of that individual's unique potential for greatness.

I am currently a General Education Teacher, and former tutor. I have yet to right my concern/grievance to the proper authorities. But here is what I have located for anyone else who would like to voice their experience(s)."Academia is no place for religious preference or neglect" Voice Your Opinion Too. Step up -
When I enrolled at Ivy League Tutoring, I was already a college graduate, but I was still suffering the consequences of having had a deficient public school education. Over the years, I have received tutoring in economics, reading, writing, grammar, math, and LSAT prep. The tutorial and administrative staff members of Ivy League have been extremely patient and encouraging. My tutors and the owner have taught me what it means to be truly educated. They have helped me to overcome my academic weaknesses and set me on a path that has allowed me to improve my skills and broaden my perspective. My tutors have explained the material clearly, taught me how to study, and let me know that there is nothing that I cannot learn. Under their influence, I have realized that brilliance is not primarily a function of genetics, but instead results from proper instruction and diligent study. As a result, I have come to realize that my family members and I can be like the Ivy League Tutoring faculty and score in the top 1% of the country on the Graduate Record Exam and the Law School Admission Test if we simply learn the required material. This insight is truly liberating.Consequently, I owe Ivy League Tutoring a great deal and highly recommend it to all of my family, friends, and acquaintances. This place is great!
The tutoring service is impeccable. However, as a parent, I was very sadden to hear incidents of disgruntled employees; ither issues regarding gender and/or religion. Unfortunately, Muslim employees have had an issue reported to human resource all in the past 2 years.
I have had 2 kids with Dr Bill this year & they are doing so much better with their learning strategies. I am so happy we found this place. The tutors are very encouraging & wholistic in their approach. I couldn't be happier thanks to Dr Bill & his terrific staff. They even started a girls' group to address the subtle human factors that facilitate or prevent receptivity to learning. It's just been great for our family.
