I have been shopping at this store since the day the store opened. This neighborhood has undergone a drastic change in all this time. The people who designated this as a dangerous store do not know squat! If you are so afraid of this area go move to Edgebrook. The associates are really great, especially Than and Patricia. To all the nay sayers, if you want high prices and a baby grand piano go shop at Mariano's.

It’s 9:24 and they are not even open!!! It says they open up at 8am!!! Lost a lot of customers!!! We are all standing out in the cold for them to open they also do not had a sign saying what times they open up

I really enjoy visiting Mariano’s there is much to see and buy thank you. I want to try many new things and this is the place!

Follow your instinct. You know nothing good is going to come from your visit to this liquor store. I promise you you will want to strangle somebody in this store, most likely the round faced security/cashier who dwells here at the bottom of the food chain, but also maybe one or two of the patrons as well. Just look at this place, then follow your gut and take your money to Jewel where the beer and booze are cheaper anyway.

this review is about a Jewel-Osco store that is located at 4355 N Sheridan Rd, Chicago, IL.The only reason I give this store a star is because of Judith. Judith is an excellent cashier! I am referring to this sweet and nice lady with blond short hair and positive attitude.Judith is very nice and professional. She always provides and excellent customer service. She is very fast and organized professional. You will never see a line by her register because YES, JUDITH IS THAT GOOD ! Unlike the other rude cashiers, Judith is very polite and intelligent. I wish all the cashiers were like Judith. Judith is very nice and helpful.THANK YOU JUDITH ! YOU ARE THE BEST !!! However, I am NOT a big fan of this store.BEWARE! This Jewel-Osco is located in a very dangerous neighborhood. This area is NOT safe. If you are a Woman with Kids then Do NOT go there!!! VERY DANGEROUS AREA AND VERY BAD STORE. There is always something bad happens in this store.Way too many crazy people shop in here.This area is BAD. It does not matter how much you try to renovate and improve this place, the people are still ghetto. This area is cursed. Don't waist your time on this ghetto/cursed "Jewel" , go and shop elsewhere but not here!

I got coffee here during an extremely busy time. I must say, I was quite impressed by the speed of the service. Although there was a long line it moved quickly and my order was 100% correct. Kudos.

This Jewel - Osco is BAD AND DANGEROUS!!! This store is located one block from Wilson which is very BAD neighborhood. A lot of criminals, sex offenders, drug dealers and homeless people live there. This Jewel -Osco is located just one block from the Wilson street, so all these criminals, sex offenders and homeless people come to this Jewel-Osco store. Yesterday I saw how one african american big man was harassing a caucasian young woman. This woman was trying to escape but the man was holding her bike while yelling and swearing at her. All this was happening right on the parking lot of this Jewel-Osco store.But the saddest part is that POLICE DOES NOT WANT TO DO NOTHING ABOUT THIS . I am sure, police knows about this, but nothing has been done so far. Everything is still the same and african american men are still harassing white women on the streets of Chicago. AMERICA!!!!! PLEASE PROTECT YOUR WOMEN ??? POLICE???? Please, do something ??????

A 50.00 overcharge mistake was made while I shopped. That was 2 weeks ago ! I was advised to call the suburban headquarters, because this store couldn't correct the mistake the cashier made. I'm still waiting, for the overcharge to be corrected.The mistake was made on 7/5/16, yet today is 7/19/16. This is indeed unprofessional, poor customer service management.
