I love it! My son has been participating in floor hockey for over 3 years now and he loves it! He was never lonely and made friends instantly. Everyone in the center have at least one thing in common -- they all want to play sports. Everyone has fun all the time. It is nice how everyone unites here for all of the sports offered. This sports center encouraged my son to become a better hockey player. He would go to the basement or to the alley and practice with his cousins. I have never seen him more happy and enlightened by sports until I signed him up to MASC. Mike Amundsen and all of the other coaches are really funny and fun to talk to. They know what they are doing. Yes, they fool around, but they know how to be coaches. Who wants boring coaches? My son participated in the summer camp MASC has to offer and he loves it! All of the counselors are kind and know how to handle things. This is a 5-star sports center! I highly recommend this camp for everyone.
This is the premier martial arts and capoeira academy in the city and suburbs. The level of expertise and instruction is beyond compare. My kids have been taking instruction here for about 7 months and it's fair to say they've found a home. Professor Bambu is an outstanding instructor as are his associates--it's hard to even think think this place is a business. Axe Capoeira has excellent instruction in all things capoeira, both for kids and adults, not just martial arts, but music, dance, all in a mixture of cultural immersion. The place gives a warm family welcome to all, especially neophytes just getting their feet wet in this art. You get value for the dollar, and you will be impressed. I love Capoeira because of this place and you will too. Highly recommended.
I join the Midtown Tennis Club because i l love tennis. I never regret to join because they have a indoor tennis courts and the facility is so great, If you want to improve your skills, You can tell then and the instructor will be teaching instantly. If you want to play tennis, this is the place! 18 indoor tennis courts making this the largest in the country! I am a former div 1. player and this is by far the best club i have been to! Great value for what you pay! Awesome courts, great staff and I love the practice lanes! There are always great events happening at Mid Town. Midtown is an excellent facility with an experienced staff and excellent teaching pros. If you want to improve your NTRP Midtown is the place to go.
Forteza is kind of amazing. It's unlike any other gym or martial arts school I've ever visited; you walk in and you feel like you've stepped back a century or three (or five). Here's a group of students training in medieval Italian sword-fighting, over there's a class in Bartitsu, which is a mixed martial art from 19th century England. In the personal training area at the back of the studio, people are lifting kettlebells and hauling around massive ropes and truck-tires. The staff and instructors are very experienced and friendly and there's a really interesting mix of students/members. IMO Forteza appeals best to imaginative, creative people who like a bit of history mixed in with full-on workouts.
I LOVE this studio. Barre has always been a bit intimidating to me, and to anyone else who feels that way, I'd say, set those feelings aside and get to Pure Barre Old Town. Such a great workout - athletic, addictive, fast-paced, and always challenging. The instructors are fantastic - they are the reason I walk to a location that's farther from my place than other barre options. They push you, encourage you and ensure you're in the best possible form to benefit from the workout. And it works! I've been a life long fitness and running junkie, but with these classes I've seen real changes in my body, and been able to make progress in my other workouts.
This Xsport is in an extremely convenient location. There is free parking, it is next to a Whole Foods, and right off of Ashland. It operates 24 hours a day so that anyone can work out there. There are HDTV's everywhere, brand new equipment, and several rooms full of different workout equipment. The only con on this gym is that during peak hours it can be extremely difficult to find the machine you want. It is best to go in the morning, early afternoon, or late night in order to have little trouble finding a machine. I generally go around 5PM and by the time I leave it is slammed. Otherwise, the place is very nice.
The overall appearance outside and inside is fairly clean. Tho I'm a stickler for a tidy bathroom their showers could be more clean. The staff are friendly, the atmosphere is very laid back where trainers aren't in your grill and you can do your own thing. The staff do keep it clean walk around sweep and wiping down and moping.although I've personally seen one member walk away from the equipment without wiping it down first:So just Be sure to clean before and after just to be on the safe side because you never can tell. Overall it's good always room for improvement. so I'll give them a 3.5
No other gym even comes close. At D3 you get results! I've belonged to other fitness gyms in the past where I did the same standard exercise with no results. Since joining D3, I've grown stronger, have toned and have gained muscle. Dre and the other trainers really care about helping you reach your fitness goals and live a healthy lifestyle. In addition, there are a variety of excellent class offerings that will both challenge you and keep your interest. I am so happy I found D3 and decided to join, definitely a GREAT place to workout.
I have never experienced a fitness community before because I have always just gone to gyms but D3 is really a community. Dre has created a community of caring, motivation and encouragement. I feel totally cared about and I love the support all the trainers give. After my fifth or sixth visit, I realized all the trainers knew my name. Wow! This place is just the best! The workouts are great and the trainers are so into teaching their classes! I finally found a fitness home
This is not your average gym, the trainers are awesome. I have been workn out at the boot camp four days a week, for about 8 weeks now. We haven't done the same routine yet. Always challenging , but yet fun also. A very friendly family like supportive environment . Results are visable around the room. I strongly recommend checking it out . Whether your trying to loose weight, tone or just improve your cardio. Check it out !
