If you want something different in Chicago than the standard Italian places, the pizza places, or the steakhouses... then try your best to get a reservation at Momotaro. Every single bite from every single dish is phenomenal, best in class! The service is also top notch, constant attention and the littlest details are taken care of at every moment. You will not regret anything you experience here, from omakase to nigiri to spareribs to chili spaghetti.

Super Home Style Cooked Filipino Fast Food Restaurant. The "REAL" food.
Filipino Fast Food cafeteria style. They have affordable prices and good quality cooking and good serving size. This is way better than any fast food. This is "real" food.
Great Filipino food. Small grocery for Asian condiments and snacks.
Good food and sheep price I guarantee.
The Pot Stickers are great and they give you a ton of food with your entree but I wasn't impressed by the Orange Chicken. It tasted alright but the texture was off, no crunch on the chicken at all.
I dined at Vora on 2/22. I had been wanting to try their unique menu and had come across a BlackBoard eats coupon for 30% off. The restaurant itself is nothing special. The menu had a variety of options to choose from, but it was way overpriced. I didn't mind however, because I had a coupon. Without the coupon, I definitely would have been hesitant to try this place. I ordered two cocktails that were reminiscent of cough syrup. The absolute worst $12 Mai Tai possible. However, I'll take crappy food any day over what unfolded once I asked for my bill.My server, Eric, after showing his disgust for my coupon presentation, came back to my table with literally four receipts. It was extremely loud at Vora so I was having a hard time hearing him. He showed me a receipt with the words "service charge" on them and an amount of $20.40. Okay, I thought, tip is included on the pre-discounted amount. I have never used a Black Board Eats coupon before, so I assumed this was part of the coupon. After sorting through the massive pile of paper, I signed the discounted receipt and put an "x" through the tip line because since tip was included and my experience wasn't that amazing, I didn't feel the need to tip more than the standard 20%. Several days later, I got quite the surprise on my bank account. The amount that I SIGNED for on the receipt was not what I got charged to my account. When I did the math, it appeared the 20% "service charge" was charged twice. I figured simple mistake and I called the restaurant. I was told someone would call me back in an hour. No one did. I called back 5 hours later and spoke to a manager. He basically told me that I couldn't expect him to get to my issue right away. I told him, that I was charged twice for the tip and that was unacceptable. He didn't call back me back at all, so I called my bank and got the $20.40 refunded. Now the fun begins! The server, Eric, left an strange message on my cell phone. He told me to give him a call back on his cell. I thought he was calling to apologize. BOY WAS I WRONG!! It turns out, tip was not included in my final bill. Eric showed me a receipt that stated what I should be tipping him. I didn't know that servers could demand a specific amount from you. Well since I misunderstood him, he took the liberty of adding in his $20.40 service charge anyway. He admitted to me that I agreed to pay him $20.40. Yes, I did agree to pay because I thought it was included on my bill!! Well, Eric decided that even though the receipt that I SIGNED had not included the tip, he was just going to add it in after the fact. Excuse me, that's ILLEGAL! He then proceeded to tell me that he did not believe me and that I didn't tip him on purpose. Again, I believed it was included!! And look, isn't tipping still up to the person paying the bill? If I want to tip him 15% or 25% that is my right. Eric demanded a 20% tip right off the bat for his less than stellar service. He degraded me on my phone so much that I hung up on him. It was a misunderstanding and he told me that he thought I was full of it. Wow! Eric had NO right to harass me at home for his stupidity! The fact that no one from Vora officially apologized to me and that they let their server call me on my phone and yell at me, is horribly unacceptable. They have acknowledged via an unsigned email that yes, Eric DID steal from me over a month after I posted my original review on yelp. He admitted to adding in the tip regardless of what my SIGNED receipt said. Vora stated that they informed Eric that it's not acceptable to change a customer's tip. What?!?! Not acceptable? It's THEFT and is ILLEGAL.
