Had appointment to renew benefits scheduled for December 26 the day after Christmas. On January 4th no link deposited into my account. Called this office at least fifteen times!!!! Tried again this morning and still no one answered. This number the office just uses it but never answers.
The employees at this office DO NOT answer phones. If you are lucky enough to get through to a voicemail--which occasionally occurs--you will be instructed to punch in a number if your caseworker's name begins with a specific range of letters, and so on, but that worker will not answer the phone. You night be lucky enough to get a voicemail tape; however, if you leave a message, your call will never be returned. A response from the State of Illinois stated that Public Aid no longer assigns caseworkers to cases, so apparently their voicemail system is outdated.
My experience with them is horrible it has been 2 months and me and my child has not received their benefits because they can tell you to lose our paperwork I have brought my paperwork up there several times but because they keep misplacing it I cannot get my benefits I have tried calling several several times and all they do is say is I will have your caseworker email you back or call you back and I have yet to receive a call or they has there been any change in my status they are horrible and they have no concern for others . Miss Tate is the name of one of the case workers.
Sgt Moseley was very professional and knowledgeable. The guys here are helpful and will try to do what they can to help you get on a career path!

Went in today. From the minute we walked in until we were done it was a pleasant experience.The girl at the information desk was helpful.Mr. Richard Jones was very knowledgeable and took his time to explain everything we needed to know. Sorry some had a bad experience, but we were only there for about 35 minutes and I would go back again if I had to.

Today, February 20, 2013 I attempted to satisfy the demand for payment of traffic tickets through a payment plan. I spoke with representatives of the City's Finance Department and was directed to a City of Chicago attorney's office at (312) - 526-1298. After dialing that number I got an automated response stating that I should hold for a representative or leave a message. After being on hold for approximately 45 minutes, I attempted to leave a message; however, the automated service stated that the message in-box was full and messages could not be accepted. Not be able to do what the City's Finance Department demands because telephones are not answered is a significant hardship to citizens. The City of Chicago should not make it difficult on citizens to fulfil its demnds. In addition, the cost of parking meter expirations and other minor violations (front liscense plate missing) is excessive; the doubling of fines and addition of "collection fees" is similar to gouging. All considered, it has become extremely difficult to pay these additional "taxes" and conduct business in the City of Chicago. Also, a complaint process is not available or it is impossible to find. It is most likely that a response from the City's Finance Department will not be forthcoming.
Absolutely HORRIBLE service!!! They are sullenly rude, curt and condescending/belittling all the way from the Security Guard at the door to the lady behind the counter. They talk down to you as if you're dirt....stupid.....and with an ATTITUDE. I got NO help at all; no suggestions, no referrals, etc. The Security and the lady behind the counter tried to belittle, intimidate and then actually argue with me instead of simply answer questions. SOMETHING NEEDS TO BE DONE!
