I've been coming here for 20 years. I'm so lucky I don't live in Chicago anymore, otherwise I'd be 100 pounds heavier. I'd eat here every day if you let me. The Beefs are the best. Double dipped is the way with hot peppers.. oh man, if it wasn't freezing out there right now I'd get on a plane and come grab one right now. my mouth is watering just writing this review. They have a huge "dining room". Well it's a long picnic style table the runs the length of the room, where everyone sits down, and eats. not talk, just eat, who can talk with all the beefy juicy goodness dripping down your arm.. The room is covered with Chicago paraphernalia and there Blues Brother "statue" thingy at the end of the room. Anyone that makes a visit to Chicago needs to experience this place, and if you don't like it, well then I guess you wouldn't make a good Chicagoan.
I ordered my food, and the man who waited on me was so pleasant; what a pleasure for a change. I ordered the new chicken, bacon, bbq sandwich, but told him I wanted on chicken, bacon, 2 thin slices of tomato, and toast it; no other sauces or dressings on it. He laughed, I told him I knew I was weird, he agreed in a very pleasant and fun way, and made my sandwich perfectly. I ordered a peanut butter cookie that was mistakenly left out of my bag. I called there when I got home, spoke to him, and he again very pleasantly took my name, apologized for the error, and said it would be there for me when I wanted to pick it up. I'm so tired of rude, inept, discourteous fast food workers that I barely go to them anymore. I will go back to that Subway!
With crowds packing this place, I need to see what the fuss was about. To me, it nothing but an overpriced Taco Bell. In fact, I prefer Taco Bell to Chipotle. Don't understand the fuss. Food is average at best. On a scale of 1-5, I'd give it a 2. I tried the steak burritos, which had tons more rice than steak. Steak is bland tasting. Chipotle claims they serve food with integrity. Their cattle is not shot up with hormones. Good gimmick, but I'm skeptical. Add in a drink, a few chips and you're over $10. Way too much. I'll stick with my Taco Bell at $ 3, or my local authentic taco joint, which is much tastier.
02/13/ 2009 11:52 a.m. I purchased 2 wings/spicy wih biscuit. After arriving home planning on having the wings for my lunch I discovered one of the wings was burnt black on one side. I felt like the person who filled my order knew the wing was burnt on one side before placing the wing in the box. I called back to the store explaining what happen and the person's attitude wasn't the best she told me I would have to wait until the store manager come in at 5:00 p.m.. I do not live around the corner from Church's. My lunch was spoiled. I have been a customer of Church's for years and this is the first time experiencing bad food.
After a very long and stressfull morning at Children's Hospital, my sister, 5 yr old son, and I strolled into your restaurant. We had never dined there before, and it was obvious. Rosi called us up and very eagerly advised us on how to order, and what each menu item was. She was very knowledgeable about your healthy ingredients. When we pulled out our wallets to pay, Rosi said " It's on me, just tell us what you think." Well Rosi, not only was your food delicious, and we would dine again, but you made the experience a memorable one that I've shared with family and friends. Thank you for shining on our day.
Over all, my experience was pretty good. The food was delicious. I always get a taco salad bowl. The portions are generous, the flavor is consistent, and it's more than enough to leave me with leftovers for a snack or second meal. I do wish that chips came with a taco bowl, but they cost extra. Chipotle isn't something I think is easy to eat on the go, so definitely allow time to dine in or take it to a nearby seated area. Lastly, I really appreciate that Chipotle using products without antibiotics and hormones and that they soak their beans in house (no canned products)! :)
My family has been going to Superdawg since the late 70s, back when it was run down and discarded pickled tomatoes often littered the parking lot blacktop. A lot has changed since then -- it's beautiful, well-lit, well-maintained, with a separate enclosed seating area -- but four things haven't changed at all: the owner is the same, the food is still delicious, the carhop service is still available, and they still give you a hard time for ordering a "hot dog", especially with ketchup. Don't ever leave us, Superdawg!
I couldn't believe when I received my coffee today, I noticed that something was different about it. I asked the McDonald's employee if she had put cream in my coffee. She told me, they ran out of cream. That they had to use 2% milk instead. This is was a disappointment, since I always drink McDonald's coffee everyday. The coffee was awful. They should of told me before I order, that they didn't have any cream.
This is the best hot dogs I have eaten. Had not been here prior. Sent via Atlantic Aviation at PWK airport. I had a Whoopskidawg, a standard Superdawg, and a strawberry 'malt'. Rarely see a malt available anymore. The fries are as good as can be had, and the hotdogs...WOW good. I especially like the Whoopskidawg, which was a spicy sausage. You folks got it goin' here.
I recently had a turkey foot long sub from this subway restaurant. The wheat bread I had was as far from fresh as possible. I didn't realize it until I was home about to eat it. This is not the first incident with this Subway and unfresh bread. However I just would like everyone to know. I called the store and was promised a free sandwich after I complained.
