The first step of moving is picking an efficient moving company. I called In & out moving and their sales rep was very kind and offered a very good deal. 2nd stage was the packing. They sent a great team who helped me packing everything up. All my things were well wrapped and packed. 3rd stage was waiting. I didn’t need to wait much because they delivered on time and I always knew their location. And last part was delivery. The delivery was made on time and nothing was damaged. Clearly they helped me everywhere! It was a great experience! I will hire them again!
We moved from Bartlett to Huntley in 2009 and hired Able Moving Inc to move us. They arrived 2 hours late and took 14 hours to load, drive and unload. Maybe because they decided to take a break to talk every 10 minutes. As they were unloading, they broke several pieces of furniture. I told them I was not going to pay for all the time they took off to do nothing. I filed a claim and was given the run around for months and then they stopped answering my calls. I have been out of this money for years and still very angry about their service. I don't know how they are still in business.
They did a great job and accomplished a lot in the time they were there. They moved the contents of my 1k sq ft apartment into a storage unit and did a wonderful job of packing everything into my storage unit. I will definitely use Fox Movers again when I move into my next residence.

I didn’t mind paying In & out moving at all! They gave me more service than I had ever imagined. They are so dedicated and reliable! Doing a long distance move with them was easy as cake. And my things were so nicely protected! I don’t think anyone could intentionally break them. And also their rates are way better than others! 7/20/16 I had Medley's Moving and Self Storage move some of my items to a storage unit. The movers started robbing me the moment they got into the apartment. They took a socket wrench set. Kevin the driver who is brown skin in his late 20's to early 30's. came around in front of me and helped me put 125 DVD'S into a garbage bag. I had five cast iron skillets, ruby red sheet set, cat's litter pan, and cat's carrier. On 7/22/16 I went to the storage unit. I started looking for my property. I called Medley's Moving and Storage when several things were missing. I spoke to Calvin who is much older in his 50's he was very belligerent. I told Calvin I did not check the back of the truck. He yelled at me and said Why didn't you check! He said that maybe the 76 year old landlord got into the truck. I checked the storage unit on 7/27/16 the same items were missing. I called Medley's Moving and Storage and this time I talked to the owner A. Medley who pretended to know nothing about the situation. I tried to tell him I did not check the back of the truck but he talked over me I asked for a claims form lost or stolen form. What claims form what are you trying to say to me.The owner told me I did not have to call there anymore because I have called several times before. The storage unit reviewed their surveillance tapes. The back of the truck was never opened and I did not walk around to the side of the truck to look inside. This a moving company who's movers are robbing their customers and they don't want to know anything about it. There is not that much loyalty in the world. Kevin the driver and Calvin the office manager are two different people. Ask for ID. There will be no doubt who you are dealing with. There is no reason to hide Kevin or deceive the customer.They have made no effort to investigate their own employees. Before you go with Medley's Moving and Storage you really need to know about them. Their overall rating should be an F that BBB rating is a lie.

Long-distance moves are much more complicated to plan, typically requiring you to pay numerous extra expenses for everything from shipping items to renting storage space.

Check with the American Moving and Storage Association
For both local and long-distance moving companies, AMSA is another good place to check out a company's legitimacy. Moving companies aren't required to be an AMSA member, but the ones that are have committed to the association's rules and regulations, which protect both the companies and the consumers hiring them. If a company isn't an AMSA member, that doesn't mean it isn't reputable, but an AMSA membership is a clear indication of legitimacy.
