I must say I'm giving 1 star simply for the service of the waitresses there and the fact that we've been there so many times and the only time we've questioned the service was related to management.
Well our issue once again is related to management and at this point with the many restaurants in the surrounding area as well this last incident, today's visit was definitely our last. Our food came, my friends breakfast items were not hot as one would expect, maybe they waited to bring our meals at the same time, who knows, anway, the waitress had the meal replaced with the same meal, hot this time. We proceeded to the register to pay for our meal and once we issued our coupon that we received in the mail for a discount with the purchase of two beverages and a meal and the second meal 1/2 price the manager tells us he will not honor the coupon since they had to replace the meal. I'm thinking, I must be hearing him incorrectly because I've never heard of such. I ask him just to make sure I've heard him correctly, ""You are telling me you're not honoring a coupon because of a service issue on your part?"" He tells us, he's running a business and they have to make money, which shocks me even more. My friend reminds him that we've been to the Big Apple at the Chicago Heights location so much that we actually know the waitresses by name. So he tells us we can use the coupon the next time. With that, I kindly tell him, you expect us to come back and spend money with you after the many visits we've made and money we've spent and now this. I told him he could keep the coupon and give it to someone else that's ignorant enough to come back.
Karma is extended to all, not only in our personal lives but, in business as well.
