McCormick Junior High School is a public school serving the educational needs of students in grades seven through nine. The school has an enrollment of more than 1,000 students. Its day comprises seven 47-minute classes, a 15-minute reading period and a 15-minute homeroom. The school s programs of study include agriculture, art, computers and keyboarding, drama, family and consumer science, foreign language, math, music, language arts, physical education, science, social studies, and speech and technology education. Additionally, it provides services to students through the behavior lab, resource and transitional seventh-grade classes. The school offers preparation for advanced placement courses in English, math and social studies. It provides opportunities to students to participate in sports, intramurals and organizations, as well as offers a wide variety of co-curricular activities. McCormick Junior High School is a part of the Laramie County School District 1 and is located in Cheyenne, Wyo.
