What a sad & damaging experience we have had with Gilbert Motor Company. Our small business purchased a a truck from them (under the understanding that it had no pre-existing conditions) - only to find out a few weeks later by our local truck shop that it in fact has a blown motor! Now our small business is out tens of thousands of dollars. Once we confronted Gilbert Motor Company with the issue, they started to dodge our calls and completely ignore us (during hours when we know they were open and available to answer the phone.) Desperately trying to reach them, and after leaving a message on their Facebook page, the owner finally called us & told us that he would be doing NOTHING to amend or correct the situation. Simply put = bad business and dishonest. Good businesses that care about their customers & integrity should own up to when they make mistakes and correct the situation to the best of their ability. Now we are stuck with a truck that we can do nothing with! I can only hope that other small businesses out there don't lose their hard-earned money to Gilbert Motor Company like we did.
Reading this review could save you thousands pf dollars in car repairs:The absolute worse and most unprofessional dealership experience I've ever had. I purchased a truck in May 2014, and the salesmen and technicians at Lynn Hines knowingly put the wrong size battery in the truck before selling it. Its only been three months since Ive had the truck and Ive spent over $1000 in repairs (new battery, new alternator). After filing a complaint for negligence with the BBB, I called Chris Lawton to see if there would be a solution and when I talked to Chris he was upset that I had reported their negligence to the BBB, and he said, "had I called them first, maybe he wouldve helped me but because Ive reported them to the BBB, he wasnt going to do anything, and then he hung on up on me. Never have I been so disrespected by a business, and this will not be my first attempt in letting everyone that I come in contact with know how unprofessional and disrespectful this business is. Im a hard worker and most importantly, a mother of a 1 year old and it was important for me to have a reliable vehicle and do business with people I could trust. I encourage anyone looking to purchase a vehicle to not be fooled as I was. This dealership will not look out for your best interest. After being hung up on, it is clear that Chris Lawton doesnt care about the work his technicians do, he's only concerned with making a sale.
