I receive flyers all the time and always skeptical to try their food because the business itself doesn't appear very clean... kinda dumpy. Took a chance for something different - we wanted good Philly Cheesesteak subs. Ordered online and picked up subs in 15 minutes. I was correct as the place is pretty dumpy inside and out but the subs were really good - plenty of meat and very tasty. The ONLY disappointment is if there was cheese on it (I specifically asked for provolone), we could not find or taste it. It's a Philly CHEESEsteak sub therefore it should have plenty of visible and tasty cheese!! Will give them one more chance at some point. After reading all the reviews I see many customer service complaints but I did not experience that - they were friendly and the food was ready rather quickly.
We are from N.Y. an ordered a pizza from Sal's in Chesapeake. Finally we have a pizza shop close by that sells N.Y. Pizza so we thought. When we tasted it we realized this is NOT N.Y. Pizza! It looked good and smelled good but, what makes a true N.Y. Pizza is the Sauce. This Sauce is too SWEET and has these itty bitty onions in it. this makes it not taste like authentic, homemade or fresh tomato tasting like the Italian Pizza Sauce used by Pizza Parlors in N.Y. Please, we want you guys to stick around. So Please Fix Your Sauce!! Go try a slice at Cugini's or "Pizza Vera" in Greenbrier to get an idea. Thanks.
This Chuck E. Cheese's is fun for the kids. However, its cleanliness is far from sub-par expectations. The bathrooms are disgusting as well as the soft drink fountain area. The building was far from crowded. Therefore, i feel as though the sanitation should not have been something difficult to keep up with. Most of the games were in working condition. The kids seemed to have a good time. I hope upon my return, that the sanitation will be at a cleaner level.
I am a Native NY'er and this is the best pizza place I have found in Hampton Roads. The staff is wonderful and the food is fantastic. Prizes are very reasonable as well and they offer coupons for even better deals (like the one on this website). I used to go home to NY four times a year to get my fill of NY pizza but now I only have to drive 15 minutes to get authentic NY pizza. If you haven't tried this place yet, go NOW. Believe me YOU WILL BE BACK!
My family and I live down in great bridge which is out of their delivery range usually. However, since we are such frequent customers the owner allows his drivers to deliver to us. The food is great and the service is awesome. Every time I go on that side if town I have to stop in and grab a slice!! 20$ 24inches is the best deal in town!!!
now i can tell that this place has a real ny style pizza , it's really very delicious and tasty i've never had a pizza like this before and now i'm a regular customer ,the service was good and the stuff was friendly and respectfull, i really recommend this place for everyone , it's the best pizza in town so far, i love sal's ny pizza
I visited the one on Cedar Road and ordered a pie with sausage. Not exactly NY pizza. The crust was very bland (no flavor to it at all); the sauce was sweet; and the sausage were tiny, tiny bits of crumbles with no flavor. It wasn't the worst pizza I've had, but definitely does not compare with a true NY slice.
If you need a break from subway and want a real sandwich this is the place to be! Philly Cheese Steak sandwich are my favorite my dad is a meatball lover. The service is great and fast. They also serve breakfast. Hope to see you there!
The best pizza I've ever had by far. They deep fry the dough and add smoked Grande cheese, so good! The sauce is delicious as well, just enough sweetness. The service is great they are friendly and very efficient!
Best NY style pizza I have had since in years. Food is great, prices are great, staff is very friendly. I have not tried delivery yet. Carry out or dine in so far. If near Greenbrier Mall give this place a try.
