From Business: I have been a Hair Stylist/Makeup Artist for 7 years. I recently resigned from the government so it is a dream to pursue my passion full time instead of part time…
I asked for tree braids and received cornrows and microbraids that left my hair exposed. My hairstyle looked like it was 2 months old when it was only 3 weeks old. Also, I was quoted one price but was actually charged a higher price, even after I reminded the owner of the lowerquoted price. The stylist did not wash my hair before braiding it but used a blow dryer, and she was not gentle when she used it. She did not place anything around my shoulders before she began to braid my hair, so my blouse was stained after the 5-hour ordeal. I visited another salon to have someone else look at my hair since it looked older than it was, and that stylist informed me that my hair was beginning to lock. Therefore, I chose to have the braids removed. I was disappointed since I had spent $200 for some botched-up braids. Regardless, I had them removed and decided to get a sew-in as a protective style. Besides all of that, what I can only assume were credit card slips were all over the counter in a messy pile. That made me wish I had used cash instead. Don't go there. I wish I had done my homework. It would've saved me time (5 hours) and money!
