The manager and staff treated me with more rudeness and disrespect that I have ever been seen at any place of business. If you have a dress you love it is available at many places other than Jan's. Take your business to a store where they appreciate your business and treat you with respect.
Jans has the worst customer service. I had bought a pair of earrings that they recommended to me and had me put on for a picture. They were clip ons but i was assured by several people that they could be converted to posts. So I payed the fee and about 3 days later get a call saying they can't get converted. I call them back to see what the issue is and the rude employee on the phone tells me they dont have the pieces in stock. So of course I inquire when they'll get new ones in and he tells me they're not. So I tell him I had been assured they could be converted so why can't they order the piece. He tells me they just can't, so I told him I'll get back to them later in the week then about what I'm doing because I have to try and find another jeweler. His response? "Have fun with that" then hung up. They sold a service that they couldn't provide and had the audacity to treat a customer like that. Much better off going somewhere else.
Do not go to this store. Horrible customer service. They do not dis lose their return policy and are rude to customers. If you return same day as purchase the charhe you a 25 % restock fee and store credit only. Next day 35 % restock fee and the following day 50% BEWARE !!!!!!!
I came into Jans yesterday trying to find a prom dress for my senior prom. The store was DEAD due to the snow storms we've had so no one was in the store when we got there. But yet The sales lady was extremely quick with me and didn't have any answers to my questions. If you like a dress on the rack but it's not your size, you must order it to see it in your size since they refuse to even put a dress that's not your size near your body and you MUST PAY FOR IT even if you don't end up likening how it fits once it comes in. Also, I was under the impression when they said "Size 00-32" well, more like 100's of dresses in size 00-12 and 10 or 12 prom dresses total in size 12-32. Looks like they only cater to the people who aren't plus size. I would NOT recommend this place to anyone.
Beware! Don't shop here. Terrible customer service. They ordered a dress for my mom telling her the size they would order would fit they would just have to hem it. All kinds of alternations needed to be done. She wanted to return it and offered to buy another dress even if it costs more, but there was no budging. Jan is rude and made my mom feel like she was crazy because she didn't like the dress. My mom tried talking nicely to her but all she did was talk meanly to her and berated her for not liking the dress. Jan said to my mom that she was crazy and that she has never seen this before. You work in customer service for how long and have never once had an unhappy customer? She tried calling her after her visit to discuss the situation with her nicely, she told her she had to go that she had a customer. My mom told her she would leave a bad review and Jan said "that's not fair" and hung up on her.
