I had been sick with many sinus infections over the course of 3 months, finally went to CFH in Ballantyne 2 Februaries ago and the nurse practitioner decided to give me a kenalog injection in my rear and never warned me that it would cause fat atrophy. So now, 2 years later I have a huge hole in my rear reaching the muscle because he medicine ate away my fat cells, which is painful. I went to try and talk to them about how to fix it or what went wrong and they basically charged me 55$ to tell me it isn't their fault and I'm probably allergic. No one uses this injection anymore bc of what can go wrong and bc it's hard to administer, and somehow now I am stuck with pain and emotional trauma with no compensation. I have still never met the main doctor, which scares me that he's letting his nurse practitioners make these decisions and not warning them about any consequences. Unsure about what to do next except that I will never be going back there ever again.
They make up different levels for your visit . so if you go ask them what level visit it is ! I had a common cold saw the nurse on duty told her what antibiotic I needed then next thing I now I received a bill for a level three visit !!! No testing was done , nor did I ever see the doctor 👨⚕️ . However my insurance was billed over 380.00 after they paid there portion I owed 169.00 ! Stay clear of this place , save your money 💰 go to minute clinic at cvs or inside of target 🎯. I would not go back to this location again !!!
I had a very positive, professional experience during my visit with Dr. Kinnerish Patel, this past week. It started with the front desk receptionist Zena, who made me feel comfortable in the small but clean waiting room by offering me a bottle of water. In a very short period of time, I was greeted by Karen, one of the Dr. Patel's CMAs who was also professional and friendly. After Dr. Patel finished his examination, I was escorted to the check out desk by Denise who gave me an easy explanation on using an inhaler properly.I returned the next morning to have a breathing test given by Monica his PFT. Although the test takes about 30 minutes, with Monica's easy going personality and easy to understand explanations, the time went very quickly. Soon after the test was complete, Dr. Patel came in and also gave me a thorough explanationof the test results. I did not feel rushed and was able to ask questions, receiving answers to my satisfaction. Although I had no specific reason to interact with Kristin who does referrals, she too added to the positive personable and professional atmosphere in this office. I would definitely recommend this office to anyone who finds themselves having pulmonary issues.
Well after many problems with this office, I have now been "dismissed" from the practice with the reason being "a recent communication through their patient portal"Let me tell you what the communication was about.I had a full physical with PA. Christopher Jenny. During which I told him that the Ambien he had previously prescribed caused a "zombie like" feeling the next morning. I take care of my 11 month old on the regular by myself, and do not want to be in any kind of "off" mental state. This was a lengthy discussion about the Ambien, during which I told him I did not want to take it anymore, and asked if we could peruse different options, that would not have such a lingering side effect, as I did have trouble sleeping. He replied, to take more of my prescribed benzodiazapam to help fall asleep as needed, and to follow up if I needed something else.About a week passed and I messaged him via their patient portal. Stating my concern that I was using too much of my benzo, and that I would need something else, or more to compensate for my lack of sleep. His response almost 48 hours later (even though their website clearly states that messages would be returned within 24 hours) informed me that he had called in a prescription of Ambien for me at my local pharmacy. Ok....did I imagine that whole appointment....and conversation about how I DON'T WANT TO BE ON AMBIEN.Well in response I expressed my concern over the lack of note taking and listening/attentiveness during my last appointment and that I was concerned about that. It is a little disheartening to learn the person who is supposed to be caring for your well being obviously had no idea, or didn't care enough to look at my chart or even take notes in the first place. I am an EMT, i know the importance of patient history, and it is clear that Carolina Family Healthcare has zero concept of that.I was also approached during my last visit about my negative review about the practice, The office manager asked me to stay after my appointment to talk. I explained that everything I wrote in my previous review I still felt true, and that the reason I even came back after they screwed up one of my wife's appointments, as well as scheduling my then 6 month old while the office was at lunch leaving us standing in the rain, was to give them a second chance.Well it wasn't until I removed my more positive re-review of the practice after my terrible experience with PA Jenny that I received my certified letter informing me that I would no longer be treated at their practice. The kick is that it was signed by Dr. Kanelos, who never even had talked to me or approached me about anything. I have never even seen the man in real life, but he dismissed me from the practice. I believe this has a lot to do with my Yelp review. Although I may be harsh with my reviews, I tell the truth, and have not lied about a single thing written here. I will spread the word of the complete lack of professionalism, as well as the dismissal based on a yelp review. I do not believe questioning why I was prescribed Ambien, after telling them I don't want to take it would get me dismissed during the middle of a new prescription plan, leaving me to find a brand new doctor and office to try and continue what has been prescribed. Good luck dealing with this office, and good riddance. They lost 3 patients because of this already within my household and as many more as I can spread the word to.
Dr Claire Evans takes the time to listen, gave me referrals for Specialists needed after my move to Charlotte. The staff could not be better! My transition was smooth thanks to their service!
The facility itself seemed nice and clean. The expertise is non-existent. Professionalism is also lacking. The facility does drug screening and urgent care. I was there for a pre-employment drug screen and they made a mess out of that so definitely DON'T go there if you need real medical assistance.
I met with him for the first time to set up heart surgery he told me that he don't know anything about me after having my chart and many test were sent to him through Novant . I asked did you even read my Ecco that was sent and he told me no it might have been a good idea. He showed me a plastic model of a heart for one minute and couldn't answer any of my questions. His reflexes were slow and not stable . Dr Davis Scott Andrews is old and might have been good in his day .
A very unprofessional clinic!!!!Take me this 3rd time to come back (hopefully) to just get my exam results. They dont even get your paper ready while testing you and keep running back and forth "oh I gotta get this paper bla bla and make sure your file is perfect bla bla" how many time I dont even remember. The first time I came was Fri the 11th of Aug 2017 , I have to wait 2 freaking hours just to see the doctor. Then they told me to come back the next Monday to pick up the reasult. Came back the first thing in the morning and waited. Then got my heart rates checked again. And Dr. Joel came with his usually nicely smile and said my result isnt ready. I would come back on Fri that week at 2pm and he would make sure my file be there ready for me to pick up. I'd been calling them seen that Wed just to make sure, nobody pick up or return my voicemail. Thursday the same thing happened and Of course That Fri when they made appointment with me. I came, the door is locked. Nodody is inside. I was so pissed because I took 2 days off to just running around for nothing. Even if they close on Fri why would the dr told me to come back on Fri at 2pm or why not even a call just to let me know they would be closed for some reason?!? i called back the Monday on 21th, the front desk lady said she will check and give me a call back. 3 hours later nobody called. How long does it take for you just to see if my file is ready on the table? I had to make another call before they close and she said my file is ready today at 10am. Should I trust them? Of course NO. I called the first thing this morning, again, nobody pick up. They got my $430 in cash (that's what they required --> i got scammed I know) and play me around like I wont be able to do anything with them! I SWEAR THIS IS MY TRUE EXPERIENCE WITH THEM. NEVER EVER GO HERE EVEN IF YOU GOT NOWHERE TO GO! REMEMBER THIS AND GET AWAY FROM THEM ASA YOU CAN OR YOU WILL GOT PISSED OFF OVER AND OVER AGAIN!!!!
Dr Tara Branton is beyond wonderful! She listens, cares, and takes time to speak with each patient. We have 3 generations seeing her! We have TOTAL trust in her care!
