Compassion and warmth describes this clinic. Wonderful staff and the doctor, well, she was amazing! Explained upfront what was going on and helped with what everything was going be priced. I think her name was Dr. Amanda? Young and very helpful with my dog's problem.

We like going there and our pets really like it too because they seem so happy! The lobby and the employees are so nice. Dr. Marker helped with our dog and will be going back for sure!

Not too many places anymore have the compassion and care like this great place. I was with my sister when we had to bring in her dog who wasn't eating and the prices were explained before they were given. The x-rays weren’t ridiculously priced and we had him stay overnight. Thanks, guys, for the call about asking how he was doing after we got him home!

Money is so important now a days...It seems to show with businesses who are cold, non caring, and when you walk out you don't know what happened!
Not at Jackson Hwy vet Clinic. They care and explain everything first before anything is done. The doctors even work hard to explain what is going on with your pet. Just walking thru the lobby, you feel calm, your pet feels calm and the staff are smiling and make sure you have been helped!

I really like this clinic. Mom felt good about the way they talked to her and she was pretty comfortable with the stuff the vet had talked to her about mom's cat. She really helped my mom to understand why it's good to do vaccines for keeping her cat safe even though her cat stayed in the house not outside. This place is much more professional than the one in Ethel, not naming names. I'll be going to this clinic from now on.

This is by far the best weterinarian clinic in lewis county! We had to have our dog put down there and thry are so very nice and very sympathetic and professional!! They sent us a card at christmas time with a picture on the front of a dog that looked like him and a piece of his hair taped inside my daughter loved this and has it hanging in her room!!

Loving, caring, fabulous!

I had taken my dog to another clinic in town who said my dig had a cough and gave her pills. After no results from the other vet brought her here to find out she actually had a heart condition and was better with 2 days of starting her medication. Now I won't take any of my 4 dogs 2 cats anywhere else! And neither should you! Thank you for saving my baby's life!

October 29, 2012 -

While in the midst of actively grieving the loss of my puppy "Hazzard", I would like to offer the following to consumers: ASK MORE QUESTIONS and KNOW THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN a CLINIC and a VETERINARY HOSPITAL. My puppy is dead because I failed to advocate for him. While suffering from a suspected gastrointestinal blockage, we were offered to keep the pup overnight for "OBSERVATION." The doctor revealed that Hazzard was left alone at 9:30 PM Friday evening and discovered dead at 7:30AM Saturday morning. There was no courtesy call to inform us of his progress, or that he would be left unattended the remainder of the night. I am now filled with the torment of knowing he died ALONE and UNATTENDED for TEN plus hours while I was under the impression he was being actively "OBSERVED." DVM's and assistants: I plead with you to inform your patients' owners of what "OVERNIGHT OBSERVATION" really means. Informed consent could make the difference between unimaginable grief and a nice 'thank you' card and 5-star review for your business. Word-of-mouth runs strong in this rural area . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Linda M. Lucey

•We are so sorry for your loss. It does show in the records that we did indeed follow protocol. I wish we could bring Hazzard back to you and Curtis but unfortunately you felt we were useless you left the exam room. Not staying in the exam room to listen to what was REALLY being explained to Curtis was a shame becease he needed your support. It breaks our hearts you would not allow us to to pull a full 24 hours to help Curtis’s pet Hazzard but Curtis’s decision was not to do more. Overnight was not an option financially so we had hoped Hazzard was going to be ok in the morning. Please understand that we are not in it for the money but unfortunately we need to pay our staff, electricity, building, supplies, taxes, licensing, permits, food, medication, ect. If you, LINDA, would have stayed in the room and discussed possible overnight care, it would have made a difference ... (We have done it many times with other clients.) We do offer that procedure which can be expensive. Understand that we do have to pay for the doctor as well as the technician both monitoring your pet 24 hours even though the doctor as well as the technician had already spent a whole day working to keep the health of all the other animals who came to our clinic that day. I have pulled the Curtis’s file in question and have found out that money was a concern even though we offered many different opportunities. You LINDA, did not understand all the opportunities explained, hence your comment: “ASK MORE QUESTIONS and KNOW THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN a CLINIC and a VETERINARY HOSPITAL” is so true. But be sure to understand the cost and care that comes with a “HOSTPITAL” can be 3 times what a "clinic" costs. We are a CLINIC not a hospital, but we are the best vet clinic in the area! As far as your other comment “Word-of-mouth runs strong in this rural area . .You are right, as long as all the facts are stated and the truth be told, then "word of mouth" Means something...not gossip. We had hoped to help Hazzard but unfortunately because of your actions we could not. Please feel free to talk with me, Donna Marker/Administrator to discuss your unhappiness I am available 7 days a week. 360-266-8090
