Overall

i bought a boat from them... the ad said nice tires. in reality the tires are weather checked worse than any i have ever seen. the ad says that it runs . when i show up he says it needs a new impeller to run the boat shop now says it has a dead cylinder and ignition at only one cylinder (its a four cylinder) that equals a full rebuild and a new ignition system throw in the impeller and water pump and were at $3000 to make it run which the ad stated "it runs"

BUYER BEWARE

Emerald RV sold me a 1987 Dolphine Class A motorhome on March 16, 2009 $5000, that had the engine burn up 5 days later while turning the ignition. My friend and I ran so we wouldn't get blown up from a possible propane explosion. The fire engulfed the entire front end causing the fire dept. to put out the fire. Luckily, RV didn't blow up, but we were all very traumatized from this horrific fire incident.

They had referred me to Fife Auto Repair of Fife, WA to have a "Buyer's Inspection", which I had done, plus a brake repair that they recommended. After I drove it home to Everett, I noticed an exhaust leak smell from inside the cab, which I later called Emerald to inform them. Their mechanic said he was aware of it and said it was safe to drive like that. The fire marshall inspection report indicated there was no oil in the engine and there was three inches of fuel in the air filter compartment. I had the RV towed from Marysville, WA to Emerald RV in Fife, they refused to have it stay there, so when the tow truck driver tried to remove it from his truck, the Emerald salesman called the Fife police. In turn, the Fife police tried to talk the salesman into leaving it there, but he refused, so the RV had to be towed back to Everett at the tow yard, which cost me $1700. I have lost a total of $7800, including the RV, inspection, brake repair and towing. Even though, I bought the motorhome "As Is", I would expect some compensation from this business for my trauma and loss, they have not offered any consolation other than saying they are sorry.
