Siskin Children's Institute improves the quality of life for children with special needs and their families. It serves children, families and professionals through Siskin School and the Siskin Training and Resource Center. Its schools curriculum includes language, social behavior, literacy, mathematics, social studies and science. It also offers a variety of extracurricular activities, including music classes, gardening and harvesting, art activities and field trips. Its school provides preschool education to young children with disabilities, including children with developmental delays. Its Siskin Training and Resource Center shares information reading disabilities with families, college students and professionals through an array of outreach programs. Its training and resources center additionally offers library, community workshops and training and consultation services in education and health fields, and is located in Chattanooga, Tenn.
