I really had fun painting the pottery and enjoyed the concept, but the customer service was nonexistent. I was lost when we first came in and wondered around until we found pottery we wanted to paint. We then went to pay for it and they then informed us we paint it first then pay for it (while pointing at a sign on the wall that isn't really obvious when you walk in). My husband and I were there for 3.5 hours and not once did anyone walk over to see if we needed anything. The hours are also not customer friendly either, not to mention it takes 7 days to get your pottery back. Overall, really cool business concept, very poor business model, were customer focus is obviously not a pillar or the organization.

I was not very happy with the customer service at River City Pottery. I love to paint pottery and I have done it many times before in a different city, but when I walked in even I was confused. No one greeted me nor was I given a smile when I approached the employees. She just pointed to the instructions on the wall. If I didn't already know how to do everything I would have been lost. I was the one instructing my family as we painted. No one ever checked in to see how we were doing. Even when we were at the register waiting to be checked out, the two employees just stood by the counter and talked. Kinda sad. I didn't feel welcomed.

Awesome Experience

Plenty of elbow room - no worries about creative space to work in. Parking is easy access. Great location (next door to a park!).
