Got a terrible haircut & Color by Lisa will NEVER RETURN!! Also their very unprofessional the receptionist was VERY RUDE!!!! BEWARE I WARNED YOU!!!!!!!!

Was looking for a new Salon, after reading some of the reviews I decided to try Debra Macias, I am so happy with my hair cut and color. She is great. I will continue to see her and highly recommend her to everyone. She is professional and passionate about what she does. For a great style and color see Debra. This is Debra and I worked at Strands for over 4 years. Its a great salon and the stylist and owner are wonderful!



I have made a recent move and I'm still in the City of Chatsworth, but i now have a private studio to give my clients the privacy they like with it still being a busy salon atmosphere. There are 16 studios which there are stylist, estheticians, nail techs and we have a fun boutique where you can shop for gifts or buy yourself something pretty.

How funny after all these years I never knew I could write a review online on this site. My hair stylist works here, her name is Debra!!!!!!!!!!! She is the best stylist and a great listener. Debra has been doing my hair for a little over 15 years. She's very smart and artistic.If anyone Is looking for a hair stylist who knows whats she's doing and Is so good at what she does then I highly recomend Debra!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ok, so I saw all the reviews on here for Debra Macias at Strands and thought I would give her a try. It is so hard to find a good, trustworthy stylist and everyone was really positive so that gave me hope. So met with Debra and she is really friendly and easy to talk to. On the other hand, I am not happy with the cut I recieved at all. My hair is about 1.5 inches shorter on one side of my head. It looks like I have two separate hair styles. The short side has really short chunky layers (I asked for longer layers). And of course the longer side,with the longer layers looks great. The shorter side looks like I have a big gaping hole in side of my hair. Now I need to find someone else to salvage my hair because I won't go back there. Hopefully I won't have to cut it all off. I had long hair, down to the middle of my back and I am probaby going to end up with a bob about ear length (shortest layer she cut) by the time I am done. So sad.

For all the ladies who i'm sure have been through this.. I have been to 7 different hair salons, from Beverly Hills to Studio City!!! All I wanted was a pretty weave "highlights" with my dark hair..First I came out looking like a creature that belonged In a horror movie, then I came out looking like my hair was growing carrots..( get the picture?) Long story short, Went to see my mom who lives in the valley and looked up hair salons, and found Strands....My stylist was amazing!!!!! Her name Is Debra Macias..I can honestly say my hair looks gorgeous!!! I get so many compliments...So ladies take my word>>>> Go see Debra!!!!!!!

Debra was FAB! My hair has never looked so good... I took a chance on an advertisement that came in the mail, which I have never done before. I checked out the reviews on yellow pages on her like she said in her advertisement and they were very impressive. I called and made an appointment for a hair cut. Since then I have had her do color as well and my hair is looking so good, its so good i met my new boyfriend since and swear its because Debra made me look like a new and refreshed me. linda is the greatest make up artist ever i am so happy now that i have found the best make up artiist for any event, i have been to plenty and i have never left satisfied until i found linda i just brought her a magazine asked what i wanted she did the exact thing i love love her she is amazing i highly recomend her !!! Thank you linda your great =) the salon is also really nice !!!!

I've been going to Debra Macias at Strands for a year or two now, to get my hair cut & blown out and she ALWAYS does a wonderful job. Having previously worked in the beauty industry myself, I've had my hair blown out on stage by the best of the best at hair shows before, and let me tell you that Debra is second to none. That being said, I was still hesitant to get the "Brazilian Blowout," just because it's a newish product. I have super curly, dyed light blonde hair, and I when I shopped around for prices, most stylists told me that "for my long, curly, dyed hair- it'll be $500." Debra did my hair for only $350, which made it possible for me to be able to actually get it done.

From the time I got shampooed, until the time my hair was done it was a breeze. Even though my hair is so long that it did take awhile to get completed, Debra is so nice & fun to talk to that the time flew by. She even got me a doughnut & a cappuccino. She has such a gentle touch that it didn't hurt at all, and by the time she was straightening my hair I couldn't even tell there had been product on it! Everyone loves my hair now. It's super soft, & it actually looks like I was born with striaght hair. I can't wait to see how it is after I shampoo it & see how my frizz has been reduced! ( :

I deffinately reccomend Debra, for 3 reasons:

1. She will tell you exactly what she's doing, & what to expect. If she's cutting your hair she's going to make sure it's what you want first; she's not one of those stylists that want to give you the style SHE wants. But at the same time she has plenty of good advice. I really trust what she thinks will look good.

2. She's never hurt my head. Every other stylist I've been to, whether high-end or not, has been a little torturous. They always say something like, "I know this part hurts a little but we're almost done." Not at all like that with Debra.

3. She gets you good results. She's done my hair faster & made it look prettier than any other time I've had my hair done. I really was skeptical about the blowout, but she gave me enough info before and during the whole process that I felt comfortable, and it ended up being a very awesome birthday present!

I have been a customer of Barbie Denault for over ten years. She has always done a great job on my hair and is great to talk with. I travel all the way from the Santa Clarita Valley. That say a lot about the confidence I have in her.

I have been recently going to Debra. I actually found her from yellowpages.com because I read good reviews about her. I was skeptical about going to a hairstylist that wasnt actually referred by a friend or family. I can only say that Debra was better than the reviews I had read. My color was amazing and I have gotten so many compliments for my hair color & cut. I'm glad your taking new clients again so that I can refer all my friends to you. The best gift that I ever bought my wife was a giftcard to the salon to see Ms. Debra. My wife was the happiest I have seen her in years. Her hair was amazing,and she looked absolutely GORGEOUS!!!!! I have been getting my very curly hair cut by Barbie for the past 20 years or so. It is not an accident that I have been a loyal customer! My 'problem hair' has never been a problem for Barbie and when my grey began to take over the auburn, Barbie came up with a color forumula that makes my hair look completely natural.

Been seeing Debra for 3 years and she is always on time and always willing to go the extra mile. I get so many compliments on my color and cut. Not only is the staff wonderful, but the environment is comforting and soothing while your waiting for your hair color treatment to be done. My boyfriend and I would not consider going to any other salon in all of L.A.
