A Holy Spirit filled place!! There was so much love shared and shown to me and my family. Words can not describe....
Since the pastor called us, the membership, 500 bad children who worry him to death, gives you second thoughts about if you should bother the good Reverend with your problems or questions.
If I would have read the previous reviews before enrolling , my child would have missed out on an optimal period of her growth and development . My child came to Grace Academy when she was 2yrs old , from the beginning the staff showed my child love and support . This is my daughters last year with grace academy and I am over confident that she is beyond ready for kindergarten in August . From her reading skills , to spelling , to memorization, as well as math , the staff has taught her how to excel in excellence. It just did not stop with the education , Grace's structured environment has also tailored her behavior to be respectful, kind, and loving . Kudos to the staff for faithfully loving and caring for each child in a very genuine way. Last Mrs. Mary ( the director) not only cares and loves each child , but has a heart for each families unique situation.
I have been looking for a church home for so long. The people showed so much love and the music was beautiful....I will be back!!
Let me start by saying that there are 2 or 3 good teachers at Grace. They do not have an extensive training of what is developmentally appropriate, but they do have a love for children and that goes a long way. When my children started at Grace I was told by Ms. Seymour the Director that all the reviews on this site were written by old employees that had been fired, but I later found out that this was a lie. Grace has so much potential but unfortunately Ms. Seymour the director nor the owners care enough about the center , kids nor the families that need the center to make it what it has the potential to be. The Director Ms. Seymour is rarely there, and teachers cover for her! She has no clue of developmental milestones or student placement, she is inconsistent with center policies, she loses payments, safety is a concern and she has no idea whats going on in the classrooms. I can say that the teachers do what they can with what they have and Ms. Lonnie is the most sound teacher there.
Don't be fooled by the Baptist name. Park Road is a progressive church committed to a social gospel. Park Road is active in community mission work, open and affirming, and readily welcomes diversity of thought. Best of all, co-pastors Russ and Amy Jacks Dean are thoughtful, compassionate, and dedicated ministers that make Park Road one of the most meaningful and relevant churches in Charlotte.
The fellowship is great and Pastor Cook really teaches the Word of God. He breaks it down in plain circumstances so that you can understand and follow his teachings.
