I have to agree with everyone that said that the guacamole was pretty amazing. There is nothing better than sitting out on the sunny patio with a bowl of tableside guacamole while watching the cars drive by. Also, the carnitas quesadilla is a great deal. It's probably the most hearty quesadilla that I've ever had, and the carnitas meat is kind of like a Latin version of barbecue. It is sort of loud at night, but it's a great place to bring a group of friends or a date that you're not trying to have any serious conversations with. (And if that's the kind of date you're looking for, you should probably buy her the tequila flight. It's a great bargain and you get to try three or four flavored tequilas. Wink wink.)
Our waiter Oscar took very good care of us - making the table-side guacamole just how I liked it (even though he teased me for not liking onions).\r…
Well despite the lack of reviews I decided to try it anyway. First thing I noticed was the health score 94.5 not bad at all. I had cheese dip with jalapeños and a side of jalapeños and salsa. The chips were perfect. I also had a #11 the cheese dip is very creamy and thick I stead of watery like alot of places. Service was wonderful friendly and my glass never got empty. My only complaint is just a personal thing I prefer chunky salsa which this was not. And all that and still under 20 buck's not bad at all...
Since this place is close to my apartment, I go there whenever I get the craving to eat lots n lots of melted cheese.....and since I get these cravings quite often, I go to Fiesta Maya quite often!!! The food is good and cheap, but the service is even better....The salsa is freshly made and very yummy...The restaurant has a homely feel and sometimes I wonder if it is a family-owned business (though I have never asked them this). I definitely give it my vote :-)
I took my wife to Tres Pecos for lunch this afternoon. Since it was Mother's Day, I called yesterday to make a reservation. We arrived 20 minutes early and were directed to a table with a reservation notice on it. Mary Ann waited on us, giving exemplary service. Others came by to see of we needed anything, as well. The food was excellent, as was the price. As we were leaving, Mary Ann presented my wife with a rose for Mother's Day. We will return.
I am new to the Charlotte area and have honestly been disappointed with most of the restaurants. I stumbled upon Cantina 1511, and was really pleased. The food tasted so great and was really fresh. I have to tell anyone reading this review to get the chocolate cake...it was honestly the absolute best chocolate cake I've ever had at a restaurant! I have attached a picture here as well. Great service and great food...I'll be back!
A co-worker recommended Cantina when I first moved to the area. I trusted his taste and was pleased with the fresh guacamole made table-side. I am hooked on the chicken tostada salad with its intersting mix of flavors and textures. They offer an interesting twist on a familiar cuisine while providing an upbeat environment.
Yummy food! I am extremely picky, especially with meat. I have had multiple chicken dishes and have also had their chorizo dish. Food is to die for. I make it a habit to go on every birthday and I enjoy the experience. Authenic, quick, delicious, and friendly service. always!
This casual restaurant serves fresh Mexican. They assemble your burrito, taco, etc., to your specifications right in front of you. The food is consistently good, and you can eat here fairly cheaply with coupons that can be found in different mailing. Quick and good.
Best margaritas in town!!! Great location at the Metropolitan right by uptown Charlotte. They have an awesome patio and a huge bar area with tons of TVs. The queso is delicious and the chicken and spinach suizas are a must try! FREE valet for dinner.
They just re-opened at JW Clay blvd and the food is still great The staff is friendly, the food is authentic, and fairly priced, and the drinks are "ahem" refreshing. Big screen TV's and a huge bar. I love this place
