They are excellent. Super rates and even gave me a lower interest rate when rates dropped before closing. They even paid for all of the closing costs.
If I could rank less than 1 star. I certainly would. I found a house I was possibly interested in and submitted a inquiry. Fast forward to me speaking with Donald at 704.376.8438. He started asking me a few questions size of household (2including myself. The other being a child 6yrs). Then he asked what size house I wanted. I stated a 3bedroom.Donald proceeds to tell me I can't rent a 2bdroom house bc there's only 2 people in my household. I was puzzled NEVER heard that before. He stated he no longer has any 2bdrooms. The call ended there. Well bc it confused me so much I called back and spoke with the receptionist. I asked about the qualifications not letting her know my conversation with Donald. She went over the standard then switched to SECTION 8 qualifications/ limitations. Ah ha!!! That's when a light went off. I was stereotyped by Donald. I am not not have I ever been on section 8. My name is Heather but I must have had to much based in my voice. (Not) I will never recommend ANYONE to rent or buy from this company!!! That's whats wrong with the world now stereotypes. Please run run run far far far away from this racist stereotyping company.
Signed with them over 1 month before close. All they cared about was securing $500 for appraisal. After I paid that they would never return my calls. Every time they needed info I sent immediately. Later lied about filing documents timely and cost me the home due to their clerical errors. These people stole my money for the appraisal in my opinion as other reputable companies would not use their company's appraisal. You absolutely need to avoid this company in my opinion. There are so many mortgage companies in Charlotte nc and you would be foolish to use this one as their customer service is as poor as it gets, if you don't believe me try to call them anytime of the day. They never answer and absolutely would not be available one minute after 5:00. Other companies want your business and will call or meet you on weekends or give you their personal cell numbers. These people act like they are doing you a favor. Btw my credit was almost perfect.
This office needs to have there receptionist remian at her desk and pick up the phone.
Strung me along for almost 3 months, demanded more & more paperwork, required that I pay off my 1.8% car loan....cost me $400. for a appraisal.. With a 780 credit rating...they rejected my refinance & did not even offer the courtesy of a letter explaining why they rejected my refinance. Don't bother with Myers Park Mortgage ...you can do much better...
I would never recommend this company to anyone. The were terrible! From errors that cost us money, to not responding timely especially when deadlines needed to be met, and they made the process much harder than it needed to be.
They were very helpful to these first-time buyers, and kept us all updated as things progressed. Just keep Don and Dana on board and I will continue to refer my clients to Prospect!
