After moving from Ohio, I knew it would be a challenge to find a gym that was for me. One that challenged me in my fitness needs, but also supported me along the way. I first contacted the gym via email hoping to come in and check it out. I got an email back immediately and was able to come in for a look around the gym, 1-on-1 to be sure I understood what they had to offer. I was greeted with smiles, as you are every time you walk in. I joined in September, and it has been amazing to see how the gym continues to grow through the classes it offers. The teaching styles of their instructors are all different so there is something for EVERYONE. Their instructors are extremely knowledgeable and always bringing new workouts to the classes. Not only do they offer wonderful strength training classes through their Sculpt, Bootcamp, Body Pump, and TRX but their Yoga program is topnotch. This allows your time to focus on your inner self and peace, not just your outer appearance.
I have recently completed a Hypoxi package of 3 months and all I can say is…WOW. I’m so impressed and excited with my results. When I first went to Hypoxi, I wasn’t sure what to expect. The staff was super friendly and I even got my first session for free so I could get the experience. Obviously, I fell in love and committed to 3 months of the dermology and training. The dermology felt like a massage for the 20 minutes I was in there, but was actually helping to smooth out my cellulite and bumpy areas on my legs. I used both the S120 and the L250 trainers to help with my problematic tummy and buttock region over the course of my 36 sessions. At the end of my 3 months, I have lost 10 pounds and 10.4 inches from my waist down to my knees and have gone down 2 dress sizes! Charlotte Fitness Group is a superior fitness program! It takes a well-rounded, comprehensive approach that encompasses every aspect of individual fitness and long-term health, including diet management. Whatever a person's fitness goals--losing weight, building muscle strength, increasing endurance--CFG will structure a fitness plan to help you achieve them and will provide both motivation and accountability along the way. CFG offers both personal training and a variety of classes encompassing everything from a unique Pilates/Yoga blend to fat-incinerating cardio. The small class size is wonderful and leaves plenty of room for instructor-student interaction as well as any individualized modifications that need to be made. I can't recommend CFG highly enough.
Alternative Fitness is an incredible studio with several highly skilled instructors, led by Melissa Pope. The exercise is very rigorous but low impact. Instructors stress proper body mechanics in equipment and mat classes. The students and staff are friendly; many have been going there for years and know each other well; they are welcoming to newcomers and supportive. When taught correctly, pilates is one of the most challenging and toning forms of exercise which focuses on all parts of the abdominals, inner and outer thighs, and buttocks. I always leave feeling thoroughly stretched, worked out, and connected in my core. Thanks for being there!

I had been in pain (lower back and hip) for many years and started private sessions at Alternative Fitness five years ago. After about 15 sessions I had very little pain and have now been virtually pain free from my consistent work at Alternative Fitness. They are very knowledgeable about the body and how to use Pilates to heal. They also know how to give you a heck of a workout. Very experienced and a very nurturing place to experience Pilates.
I thought it was too good to be true, almost didn't check into it, but my curiosity got the better of me. $10.00 a month, no commitment, free personal training, and open 24hrs: you have to be kidding me. Sure enough I went in and it was true. There is a sign up free I was told at the time just $39.00. The club is imaculate, the staff is always cleaning. Its big about 100 pices of cardio tons of resistance training. "the real deal"
Best gym out there! I can say that because I travel extensively on business and see what is out there. I can honestly say that MIF is the best! If you want a clean gym, with great equipment, great people to motivate you, trainers who take a personal interest in you success and the classes are amazing and motivating---then you must visit MIF. They changed my life!
My two year old twins LOVE this place. They are so great with kids- patient and kind in their instructions. They "practice" gross and fine motor skills, and incorporate school room knowledge (colors, shapes, etc) as they learn the My Gym skills. I feel like my kids are getting better at taking turns, sharing, and making friends. Can't say enough great things!
Pure body fitness is everything you would want in a workout studio and more. They offer a large selection of classes from barre, Zumba, TRX, cx works, body pump, body step, and kickboxing etc. all of the staff are extremely helpful and supportive. There is no better place to find the motivation to improve your health and get in shape.
