Excellent service! Clean restaurant. Great restaurant. Beautiful servers. Excelle t so gs and drinks. Definitely come back
I picked up a call in order got home with it only to find the order incorrect went back to the restaurant asked for the manager explained to him what was wrong, ordered the old fashioned hotdog which per the menu states comes with chili, slaw, onions mustard ketchup, got home with a plain hotdog, the manager was very rude and got into an argument with me stating I had to ask for all the ingredients that I wanted on the hotdog when I said per your menu it comes with it but his response was if we put it on there and you did not want it you would be mad, I said I ordered the hotdog all the way and I told him they were wasting my time to come back to have my order done right, he was very rude and because I was wearing a local hospital shirt he asked me where I worked and said I have wasted his time waiting in Doctors offices that has nothing to do with me and my order in his restaurant! I will NEVER go to that restaurant again even though have gone there many years, he is always rude and only speaks to his friends and sits at there tables to talk to them and ignores the rest of his customers . Not a happy customer and he did not care!
I enjoyed the meal, you get a good portion, so much I had to take him.
I been going to south 21 since 74. There food is always good. They have the best onion rings. There tea is always good. They never mix up the orders. I used to work for old del mar I have more than 25 orders they always got the orders straight. After they put that cement wall it has hurt there business it still there. I always recommend them if you are a burger eater. They also have chicken and fish. Can't go wrong going there
I spoke with waitress Aurora about certificate from Restaurant.com she told me to just follow instructions. The manager or owner Maria Martinez came out telling me that she only has $10 and $15 certificates not $25 and I need to print it out. I stated thats not what the certificate says and she needs to deal with Restaurant.com. Manager started arguing saying that she is not giving out free food and all thats involve in making it. She had a tantrum attack, not even apologized for inconvenience or misunderstanding, she was the victim being abused. I just paid full bill to get out of there. I would have spent so much less if I knew she didn't accept it thats why I asked before hand. I have the recepit for proof and my son and waitress Aurora witness it. She didn't honor certificate even when it says it clearly spend $50 or more get $25 off. Its not my problem what she negotiated with Restaurant.com or her losses. Such a hassle and terrible experience.
Staff was great while the both my wife and I felt like vomiting after we ate. Terrible food with the excption being appetizers in which were palatable.
Would be nice to see prices.
Everything we had was fantastic! If you are reading reviews here, you already know what this place is about so I will spare you further explanation. We shared: Brie & Crackers, Shrimp and Grits, Grilled Romaine, and (awesome) Penne Mac & Cheese along with a couple of local beers. The food was dynamite, and all (except the Brie) from a short menu they use during weird hours like Sunday afternoon before dinner. So many places are CLOSED during this time, so I applaud them for being open. Our server was great, too!Enjoyed sitting outside in the nice weather, wish it was more ambient than an active shopping center parking lot. Maybe some iron railing would help? Plants?Sadly, we saved no room for dessert - the choices sure sounded good. We've already made a plan to return!
We were so disappointed, after waiting expectantly for this place! Local foods, small scale, good chef. But we walked in and the noise noise was so horrendous, the lights so glaring that we turned around and walked out.
