My nails look terrible. Went in on Sunday and asked for gel fill in, got acrylic fill in instead. All the technician could do was apologize. I do not wear acrylic and was very upset. Paid full price and 1 nail broke following day. Finger nails look very uneven and sloppy. Here it is following Thursday and I'm heading somewhere else for a fill in. No good! And after asking to speak with manager the nail text kept whispering and pleading with me not to tell because she would lose her job. I'm not happy at all and will never go back.
This place is great! Very clean, new and the owner really worked hard to make sure we felt taken care of and the nail techs were great. Staffs are friendly. They have a great selection of colors and are extremely organized and clean. My fingers and toes look fantastic! I'm definitely going back!
I went in there to get my nails done and i had to wait at least 30 minutes! Once they finally got to me i was the last one before they closed so she was rushing to get it done. I had to point out that all my nails where not the same length (i thought they were the professionals). After a couple days a lot of my nails looked like they were about to fall off so I want back up there and they of course said it was my nails, that some people nails have to much oil and the acrylic doesn't stick to it, which is a lie bc I have had acrylic plenty of other times. Then a week and a half later two nails had poped off and the rest look like there about to come off. I went to go get a fill in (at a different salon of course) and they were so bad they had to take the whole set off and put on a whole new one, what a waste of money. Will never go back to this place!!!!

First off, is anything sterilized in that place? The cuticle clipper that the technician used on me still had dried cuticle clippings on it, and when I pointed that out, she just carelessly wiped it on the paper towel which also looked suspiciously used. Moreover, she grabbed the cuticle clippers from a toolbox looking thing that did not look in the least bit sterile or clean.
Moving on...when she was applying the cuticle oil...she was in such a rush that she squirted it all over my hand! I thought maybe it was just a slip up, but then she did the same thing to the other hand! I had no idea why she was rushing so much because there was no one else in the salon. When it came time to paint my nails, she rushed so much that she had to use her own nail to correct her polish mistakes on EVERY nail. She did my nails so fast that the polish didn't even have a chance to dry so it bubbled.
Finally when she finished, she motions for me to turn around and dry my nails by sitting by a large fan. Uh? What happened to the little nail dryers? So as I am drying my nails I realize why she was in SUCH a rush...she wanted to play a stupid computer game on her laptop!!! Unbelievable.
Granted, the manicure was cheap which is dirt cheap, but the salon I used to go to on Charlotte does a MUCH better job for $15and their salon actually deserves the title of a ""salon"". Everything they use is sterilized, their pedicure tubs do not look like they haven't been cleaned in years, and the technicians actually take the time to do your nails right!
From now on I'll drivethe extra 8 blocks to go back to my old place. Never coming back here again.

This is a great nail salon in a good location in University area. I mainly go to another salon off South Blvd but when I need a quick manicure/pedicure after school, I trust no other salon. Jennifer is awesome and so is Mike. I've never heard anything negative about any of the technicians, but there are the two I normally request. At times the salon can get a bit busy with not enough seating, and you may have to stand. But, for the most part, this is a great salon!
