Stefano's Foods started as a delicatessen and pizzeria in New York that opened in the summer of 1976. The menu included all of the Stefano family's favorite recipes from Italy. Customers came from New Jersey and from all areas of New York to eat the company s pizzas, calzones, strombolis and stuffed breads. In 1979 the family started manufacturing Stefano's products for the northeastern and southeastern United States market from a small manufacturing facility in Long Island, N.Y. Today, Stefano's Foods serves most U.S. cities. Its manufacturing facilities and headquarters have moved to Charlotte, N.C.
