I have used Piper Glen Tailors for many years for minor and major clothes alterations - minor hemming to converting long sleeve shirts to short sleeve to complete rebuilds of suits for me or dresses for my wife. They have always done a fantastic job - very good quality and very affordable. I also want to comment that they have been outstanding in sewing on the many patches and rank insignia required as my sons moved through Boy Scouts and Sea Cadets all the way to full time military. Especially with military insignia, exact placement is critical and they are very meticulous. Another reviewer mentions difficulty communicating but despite accents I have never had a problem understanding or being understood, and their business ethics are impeccable - they will tell you in advance if they think something might not work. In years of doing business with them if an issue ever came up they took care of it quickly. I give them my highest endorsement.

Horrible Customer Service

I had been a customer of Piper Glen tailors for several years - they always did a nice job with my alterations, I've even recommended them to others. Not any more though. My most recent experience was horrible. I dropped off a few items to get altered and returned a few days later to pick them up. I didn't check the items as I've never had problems in the past, I just paid for them and left. As soon as I got home and took the clothes out of the plastic wrap, I noticed my white shorts now had brown stains on them (possibly the result of a rusty iron) so I immediately called the store. The communication is very difficult with the store owners. They essentially told me that it was my problem and they'd never seen the stain before. We ended the conversation with me agreeing to bring my shorts back the next morning (keep in mind that I'm leaving for vacation in 1 day). I go out of my way to return to the store and again they deny any part and blame it all on me but said they would try to clean it and return in 2 days to pick them up - not possible since I'm heading out of town tomorrow so they said 2pm. Once again I drive out of my way to pick them up and they said they got the stain out. They did get most of it out but you could still see a little discoloration. I told them that I wanted my money back since they put a stain on my shorts and I had to deal with the inconvenience of coming back and forth for a problem they created. They blamed everything on me and I was starting to get mad. They told me that I was not welcome in their store anymore and I needed to leave! All in front of other customers too! I demanded my money back and left.....and will never be returning again! I advise others to stay clear too.
