After previously having billing issues with Nationwide I decided that I should look for a new insurance agency. I emailed Jeremy Fulkerson and requested a quote on auto insurance and gave him all of my information in my initial email.. I told him what tickets and what traffic violations I had including the dates for each event. Jeremy emailed me back with a quote of $64.79 a month. The policy and the price sounded like it would be a good fit and after receiving a printed quote in the mail and an email quote online I agreed to sign up with Statefarm and have Jeremy as my new insurance agent. I was informed that I would need to pay for the first two months up front to get the coverage started so I payed $120 for coverage for the first two months.
After receiving multiple quotes for $64 a month and paying for the first two months of coverage, Jeremy sent me an email informing me that he had neglected to read my initial email thoroughly or properly investigate my driving history prior to having pay for my first two months of coverage and my monthly rate would now go up to $118.69 per month due to a traffic violation he had overlooked. I immediately told him that would not be acceptable and he informed me I could reinstate with Nationwide without any charges being made. After previously having billing disputes and leaving Nationwide in search of better customer service, Jeremy’s suggestion was not an option for me. I immediately began searching for a new agent and after three weeks of being in contact with multiple agents I signed and paid for auto coverage with The Hartford. The day I signed my coverage I emailed Jeremy to have him immediately cancel my coverage with StateFarm and refund the remaining balance of my prepaid two months worth of coverage.
The refund check I received was only for $14 which would reflect the monthly rate of $118 not the $64 a month I agreed and paid for. I want StateFarm to refund the unused balance of the two months I paid for prior to Jeremy informing me of his mistake at $64 a month. My refund check should be between $75 and $80, not $14 and I will not accept anything less. I was completely honest about my driving history and I shouldn’t be charged for more than I agreed because of Jeremy’s incompetence in running a proper insurance quote when given all of the necessary information.
3/15/11 - I have since been in contact with the BBB, NCDOI and StateFarms Customer Service Dept. I have relayed the above complaint and StateFarm has since agreed to reimburse me the money I was owed. Before going to any agency or writing any reviews I had emailed Jeremy first to explain my position and give him the opportunity to correct it himself. His response was not helpful thus forcing me to seek a resolve through the use of the BBB, NCDOI and StateFarm. If he had taken the initiative to correct this mistake I would have been able to give him a three star rating, but in my case he lacked fundamental customer service skills that are necessary in dealing with the public. It is my hope that through this experience Jeremys customer service initiatives are improved for future clients
I was shopping around for insurance and I gave Jeremy's office a call. I spoke with one of Jeremy's employees. He was very helpful and explained all the coverages and the prices with me. I have now been a customer of State Farm for 6 months and I could not be happier. I have not had any issues with Jeremy's office but I know if I ever did they would handle it professionally and fight for what's best for me. Reading some of these reviews makes me wonder if they are talking about the same office. I have referred all of my family members to Jeremy's office and I will continue too. Do yourself a favor and give his office a call.
Switched coverage to State Farm with Jeremy's office 2 years ago. Paid in full in the office however they did not get it applied to my account. They sent a bill to my mortgage company, and received double payment. Still did not get applied to my account. Spent over two weeks dealing with this and Jeremy was totally uninterested in assisting. Just now moved coverage to Allstate. At that point Jeremy actually wrote me trying to keep business. Informed him directly I would not be renewing the policy. He wrote back said cancellation notices would be sent. He did not cancel. My mortgage company sent State Farm a payment, and I just spent two weeks again getting the refund processed. He is a salesman. Nothing else. I may switch back to State Farm down the road, but will never use his office again.
I have had State Farm for 12 years and decided to use this office when I moved to NC. At first everything was great and they were very easy to work with. I needed to file a claim on my renter's insurance and was told it was not covered, but that they would speak with the other insurance company involved and try to help. However this never happened. The follow-through is terrible and when I called to let them know I was changing insurance companies, they did not even try to find me a better rate. Very disappointing after having been a loyal State Farm customer for so many years.

It has been an absolute pleasure to work with Jeremy and his team as they are extremely knowledgeable and can address any questions my wife and I have. Jeremy met me at my house through a friend. I was blown away at how simple he made insurance understandable for me. I never knew what I had with insurance before, but now if finally makes sense. Not to mention, he saved me about $300 for the year for my cars and house. Jeremy is very friendly guy that I know I can trust, I’d recommend him to anyone.
I checked with multiple insurance agencies before I went to Jeremy's office. As soon as I started talking to Jeremy I realized that he was a guy that I wanted to protect my wife and three children. He reiterated that he was going to be an agent in Charlotte for the next 40 years and that made me feel secure, seeing as though he could watch over my childrens insurance needs as they grow older and start families of their own. Jeremy made me feel like I was able to open up to him about my family and all of my insurance as well as banking needs. I had no clue that StateFarm had vehicle loans and that Jeremy is even able to do mortgage refinances. After my policy came into effect he called me in for another appointment to review my policies and make sure that they were received just as he had told me that they would be. SInce then my wife recently got in a car accident. The stress of being in a car accident was completley taken away by Jeremy and his staff. They were able to get us a rental car the same day, and they guaranteed the date that her car would be done, and it was (the car was even washed and vaccumed). Jeremy is a man of his word. When he tells me that he is going to do something I know that I can trust that and that he will follow-up with me and make sure that I am satisfied. I would highly recommend Jeremy to anybody that does not want to be treated like another number by there insurance agent. He truly wants to help. Thank you so much Jeremy. My family and I are with StateFarm for the rest of our lives.
