Best High School in Charlotte

I think people need to know how honest and kid-oriented Independence High School is. The integrity and fair play that is displayed by the coaches of sports, mainly football, is refreshing. So many other schools do not practice this on the field and I want to applaud the Patriots for their continued hard work and success at what they attempt to accomplish. The kids are educated, well-mannered and anyone would be proud to have them in their class or on their team. Anyone who says different, does not have the facts. They listen to the news and the newspaper(rag) and they NEVER tell all the truth. It is their job to sell papers(rags) and will say whatever it takes to sell them. No one cares about what adults say and do affects the kids. It is strict in dicipline because that is necessary to keep order. Just look at the following of alumni, past atheletes, etc. that come from Independence and that speaks for itself. Anyone who knows the kids, coaches, AD, etc. know that they are there for one reason....to learn. Whether it is schoolwork, sports, drama, etc., they have some pretty impressive graduates and I think Charlotte should be overjoyed at what they have accomplished. All the current misunderstandings about the school that are unfortunately being spread by jealous losers should be recognized for what it is. Unsportsmanship. I wish everyone had to take a class in that and maybe high school sports could go back to being fun instead of an adult battlefield that teaches the kids nothing but anger, hate and discontent. I hope there are others out there that know this school as I do and will say it outloud. nursewithms

an outsider rating

My little brother goes to school there and I think that the way he is treated is crappy. Just because he had surgery during the summer and could not ride the bus for a few weeks. The people over the buses would not let him ride the bus when he could because they said that our parents did not register to ride the bus. When I was enrolled in CMS schools, we did not have to register to ride the school bus. If we did not live close enough to the school then that was our way to and from school. But now they have to register, that makes no sense to me why that is that way.For another reason is that CMS schools are the worest in North Carolina. North Carolina school are the worest in whole USA.
