A year ago, over a weekend, i took Dr. Stewart's Speed Reading course. Basically, I never thought that I would have any practical use for it in my health insurance business. THEN, last summer, Congress passed the new Health Care Reform bill and I figured I had better understand what it was all about - all 2400+ pages of it.
Having practiced my speed reading weekly, i started reading the bill. I have finished multiple readings by now, and I would not have taken on this challenge unless for Bruce's course. Now, people are contacting me for information, since I have become somewhat of an expert on the 'real' facts. Thank you, again, Bruce for your wonderful training.

Letter to Dr. Bruce Stewart at Execuread:
I just wanted to write and thank you for the course and the e-mails that followed. I will admit after the course I did not continue studying. I have begun practicing since returning from break, but the probability of doing so was less likely if not for your occassional reminders. Guilt does wonderful things for me. :)
Everywhere I go now, I can see whole paragraphs (sometimes whole pages) and I don't even think about it. I mark off sets of pages in my text books, per your instructions, and I practice with the timer. Everytime I practice I get faster. Although reading the medical texts takes a lot longer than pleasure reading, I picked up a non-fiction, non-medical book and was through the first 100 pages in about 15 minutes with near 100% comprehension. I was reading around 3,000 wpm; I did not explicitly track the time. I looked up at the clock thinking I must have been reading for an hour, terrified I had taken such a long break; alas, only 15 minutes had passed. This may not be a super fast time for you or your students, but I was ecstatically happy. I came to your class reading at about 290 wpm, and left, after two days, at around 1200 wpm. It has been two months since I took the class. I have only been practicing intermittently for the last two weeks.
Regarding my medical text books, I spend about 30 minutes per chapter reading, including preview and 10-15 minutes of practice. Normally this would have taken me close to 3 hours without the practice. I feel I have minimal comprehension, until I get to the chapter questions; I know the answers in my own words and feel like I am guessing. When I check the answers, I am right on track.
I cannot begin to thank you more. I have always prided my self for efficiency and improving my efficiency, reading excluded, and the importance of reading for my education/carreer cannot be understated.
I hope you had wonderful holidays, and I hope this year finds you well.

The ExecuRead course is the true secret to increasing reading speed, comprehension, interest and confidence. You will be amazed at what your mind can actually do. I highly recommend this course to anyone with the desire to spend less time consumed in essential reading for work/school and more time with family & friends, hobbies, excercising, etc. Bruce is an outstanding instructor with an amazing breadth of knowledge.

I first attended Bruce's course in 2005, and recently came back for a free follow up. I have used his principles since 2005 with much success. I could listen to his accent all day. (In fact I did for two days!) My reading speed after 2.5 years was 2x. I increased it again during this follow up. His methodology is well presented. I would recommend him, especially since you can go back to subsequent classes once you have taken from him. The course is usually two days, and is at his home, which is in a nice neighborhood and location.

I would describe myself as a fairly active reader. Way back before I ran my own business and had a family, I read a great deal for pleasure - classics, religion, political non-fiction, sci-fi. With all the demands on my time, I had pretty much given up on reading for pleasure and was primarily reading for work.
Dr. Bruce Stewart's course has opened my eyes to the possibility - and actuality - of reading remarkably faster. In my case, this allows me to read more of what I want to read and spend less time on my required reading.
If you apply the techniques from Dr. Stewart's course, you will improve your reading speed considerably and maintain or possibly improve comprehension. One caveat, however: His course is no silver bullet or magic pill. To maintain and improve will require practice and work. He can lead you to water, but can't force you to drink.
My challenge will be to keep up my training and not fall back into my old, s-l-o-w reading habits!

This has been an outstanding experience and an eye opener. Through a two half day class, I've been able to increase my reading speed by 7.5 times!
In my field of business coaching, I get a lot to read and to digest every single day. Imagine how helpful this course has been in terms of time saving.
I can't enough recommend everybody to take this course: from student to executives, if there is one course to follow this year, it should be this one.
And it doesn't harm to know that it is a lot of fun to attend!

I am a student at UNCC and I wanted a course or a class that would help me improve my reading speed to better study for tests and to get homework and readings done on time. My father told me about this course and at first I said to myself that there is no way in two days i could increase my reading level four times what it was before. But after attending Dr. Bruce's course I saw that yes it was true, i increased my reading speed SEVEN! times than what it was and it has helped me in the long run with my school work. The course was easy to follow, it was very entertaining, and i enjoyed it very much. I would definitely recommend it to anyone interested in increasing their reading speed in a short amount of time.

The ExecuRead class conducted by Dr. Bruce Stewart was absolutely the most incredible, and time saving class I have ever taken. In my position as president of a construction company, the amount of information, emails, and material I need to read in a week is over whelming. The ExecuRead class has changed my workweek and given me hours back in my life that had been taken away. Dr. Stewart is an excellent teacher with the ability to make each person in the class comfortable no mater what your level of reading skill is when you start the class. The class is well worth the investment in time and money. If you are thinking about improving yourself, trying to get more out of your day or just time to read that romance novel you never had time for????? this class is it.
Thank you Dr. Bruce Stewart you have improved my life.

I think I?ve recommended this class to just about everyone I work with, from my boss, to the secretaries! I?m really hoping they have you back for the graduate course, I?d love to participate. It was a pleasure getting to know you a bit, and I think you your presentation, knowledge, and personality were absolutely amazing, and of all the courses I?ve had over the years, yours stands out as the absolutely, by far, the best instructed course, and most enjoyable for me personally, I?ve experienced? Thank you so much!
