We have been with Elizabeth Pediatrics for almost 16 years. They are angreat practice who take the time to know the families of those they are serving. With weekend hours and 24 hour call line, this is a must. We have been with them through growth and moving offices and they never skipped a beat. We drive nearly 50 minutes to see them we believe in them so much. If you want a doctor without convictions or just to treat-em-and-street-em, go elsewhere. If you want a doctor's office that has principles and cares, call them up.

Having just moved to the area, I called to make an appointment for my daughter and I was given the rudest most standoffish ""Why are you calling here"" by a woman at the appointment desk who apparently spoke better Spanish than she did English. Do not waste your time here.

My experience with Elizabeth Pediatrics and Dr. Eichenbrenner hasn’t been the best.
Here are the positives: they are located close to my home and my office, they are able to get you in quickly if your child is sick, the reception staff is very nice, and the office is clean.
Dr. E’s bedside manner is what I feel is the negative. He greets only my husband with a smile and handshake, while I (the woman) get a nod.
On more than one occasion he has raised his voice to my child, ordering her to be quite and sit down. He will question me and what I feel is my parenting style. For example, he will say, she is sleeping in her own bed, right? At the time she was sleeping with us but the way he questioned me made me feel the need to just say “yes she is”. When I mentioned that she is a picky eater, he has said “feed her what you eat and if she doesn’t eat it then she can go to bed hungry”. I’m sorry but I just can’t send my child to bed hungry.
My point is that he seems very old fashioned and judgmental. The only reason we stayed with him for so long is because he came highly recommended, and I felt like with all of these recommendations, he has to be good!
The last time he raised his voice to my child, is when I finally had had enough and switched Doctors.
So here is the latest, I needed a form filled out for school, but my child had not seen her new Doctor yet, so I had to have Dr. E fill it out. It was just returned with some negative comments about my child. Never in five years did he discuss these comments with me, in fact we were always given a good report. I am in shock that he would make such comments based on a 10 minute visit that was made almost a year ago. His comments were not based on research or observation but on opinion.
He is being completely unethical!
I will never recommend Dr. E to anyone, and am so upset by the fact that he stated his opinion on a formal document, that I may even write a letter to the board at Presbyterian.

Dr. Eichenbrenner found us, and we are truley blessed. My son was born 2 months premature and during our stay in the NICU he stopped by to introduce himself and offer his services. The nurses in the hospital were almost star struck when they told me how sought after this pediatrician was. My son, now age 8, is a chronic asthmatic. We have been in and out of different hospitals several times. There is no other pediatrician that has ever made me feel so much at ease during these times than Dr. Eichenbrenner. Even when we were admitted to (suposidly) one of the top pediatric hospitals in the untied states-Charleston, Sc. Every Dr. there knew of and respected Dr. Eichenbrenner. He is knowledgable, , Professional, Gentle, caring, ...I can't say enough about this Dr. When my son has been to him for a sick visit, he always calls personaly later that evening to check on him. If I have a question I can call that office 24/7 and talk to his nurse. Dr. Eichenbrenner always has your child's best intrest in mind. He and his staff and collegues are the best pediactric care offered in the Charlotte area and surrounding states.

I haven't had a particularly negative experience but I do not agree on the practices stance on vaccinations. This should be a parents decision and while they cannot force your hand they will not see your child if you choose to use an alternative schedule (spread out) or not to vaccine for whatever purposes you present. This is not a very professional stand to take considering there is not definitive proof that vaccines are not a high risk for children predisposed to autism. They are also very conservative about who they will refer your child out to even though they have little experience with autism. My daughter is in need of services they cannot provide yet they are not willing to refer me to the practice I choose, rather a practice over an hour away that I do not approve of. Otherwise most of the staff is gracious, aside from one consistently rude nurse who seems very put off by my daughters autism. There is never a long wait and you are typically out pretty quickly. Office is clean, has a few books to play with but not much for a child to do in the lobby. Good location near downtown and parking is good.

My husband and I are both in the medical profession, and searched long and hard to find a pediatrician for our first child. Dr. Eichenbrenner came HIGHLY recommended to us, and we couldn't agree more. He is professional, approachable, knowledgeable, great with our son, and his office staff are wonderful.
There is a very large sign in their office which states their approach to vaccinations which is guided by evidence based research. If you are choosing to give your child subpar care and do something different than recommended by the Pediatric Association, then you can't blame a physician when they choose to base their care on evidence rather than parental preference.
All in all we love Dr. Eichenbrenner, and definitely made the right choice. Would recommend him to everyone!

I liked Eichenbrenner as my daughter's pediatrician until I asked him to space out her vaccinations. He was not willing to listen to my concerns and told me that I was not a responsible mother. As a doctor, I feel that it is his job to listen to my concern's about my daughter's health without jumping to conclusions. He told me that I had to do it his way or that I should find a new doctor. I was shocked at his unwillingness to listen, his illogical thought process, and his sarcastic manner. He asked me why we had to prove that things were not harmful before injecting them into children. I think that all ingredients in vaccinations should be tested for safety before injected into any child. Elizabeth pediatrics is a great practice, but I would not recommend Dr. Eichenbrenner for your child.

I personally went to Dr. Eichenbrenner from when I was born until age 18 (then I moved to California). I loved my doctor, as a girl growing up I was always comfortable with him and he was there through many sicknesses. His staff are always helpful and he is always accessible. He cares about his patients as people, he's been there through many life events in my life as well as his and I couldn't have asked for a better doctor.

My children have been seeing Dr. Eichenbrenner since birth (now ages 8 & 13). He and his office staff are excellent. The other doctors in the practice are equally as good, but for the most part we are able to see Dr. Eichenbrenner when we go. His staff work hard to accommodate our schedule by coordinating appointments for both children on the same day/time. He is personable, easy to talk to and we have never felt rushed.
