After getting my hopes up twice on bridesmaids dresses, I gave up on them. When walking in they just made me sign in, but there was no organization, and guidance on anything else. The staff was nice, but they really should organize their system a little better. However, I will not be returning to them.

This place was a horrible experience for my bridesmaids & I. I have 6 bridesmaids. 2 of them had the same one shouldered dress while the other 4 had the same strapless dress. Our consultant was Caroline. First, she hardly helped us & when we had a question, she was nowhere took be found.

Second, one of my bridesmaids was getting the one shouldered dress & she ordered her dress that day & Caroline ordered the wrong size so she had to hurry & get a manager to fix it.

Then, when the dress came in & my bridesmaid went to pick it up & it was the completely wrong dress. My bridesmaid told them that it was the wrong dress & the lady that was helping her was completely rude & she was told she couldn't get a refund.

Caroline told us that if one of the 2 girls ordered the dress that day, then the dress would be available for the other one.

So I spoke to the manager & she said that they would look & order the correct dress & just exchange it. Well, the dress was then unavailable.

I talked to my mother in law, my mother, & my bridesmaids & we decided to go somewhere else & find a dress.

So when I spoke to the manager again, she told us there was nothing she could do to make it any better.

So I told her we want my bridesmaids money back & we will take or business somewhere else.

The manager, Debbie, did not care at all that we were leaving.

She said okay, have a good day.

This store had horrible customer service & they should get people in there that know what they're doing before they ruin a wedding.

Yes, I have plenty of time to find another dress, which we already have at Poffie Girls & they're amazing, but still, me being the bride, I have enough to worry about so they could have made this easier somehow.

I do not recommend this store to anybody.

I hope this post saves somebody's wedding!

I have been looking for a dress for several weeks now. I have looked online to get an idea of what I liked. I haven't really had need for formal wear, other than a simple black dress since I went to prom 30 years ago! I found a dress on the David's Bridal website. I was a little frustrated to find that it was an "instore only" dress and that the nearest store that had it in my size was 3 hours away. I called the store and found that I could not have the dress sent to a store near me without paying in full for the dress. I went to the Nothlake store expecting horrible service based on the yp reviews. What I found was a pleasant, responsive, attentive salesperson who helped me figure out my size and who found the dress for me to try on near my son's college (where I will be visiting this weekend.) She helped me with 10 dresses in varying sizes, even though she knew I had no intention of buying any of those dresses. She even gave me a $20 dollar off coupon to use when I do find the dress I am looking for. With any luck, I will be able to find the dress I have been admiring and I will have a better idea of what I need.

Hope I never have to go here again

The people that answer the phone are not very polite and put you on eternal hold! They seem like they are annoyed by you! Plus they are supposed to send you a email when your dress arrives and I never got one! My dress was there for a month! Ugh!!!!!

David's Bridal in pineville is...

David's Bridal in pineville is the best. The staff is more organized than the one in northlake. I didn't know what kind of dress I wanted so karen the manager took the time to find the perfect dress for me, I left there so happy i was teary eyed. And the other customers applauded how I looked in that dress. THAT's THE DRESS ! I can't say any negative thing about my experience with them. It depends on the time of day you go there and the day. Thanks Karen For your help.

Review for David's Bridal

I do not recommend that anyone visit this location for ANYTHING...

I have had such bad experiences with this store. In 2009 as a bride, I went in to look for wedding dresses on a Saturday and left empty handed and disatisfied with their customer service. The store was very unorganized as well as the sales associates, I waited for hours to try on a dress and when I finally did, the associate was so busy that she couldn't really provide the services needed.

This year has been the worst experience, as a bridesmaid. The future bride and I went into the store to purchase the bridesmaid dress. There was only one dress in my size in the store for the dress that I needed. This dress was torn and had a stain on it and the manager or sales associate did not mention the store fixing the dress. The bride and i had to go all the way to Pineville, to get help the next day and the manager at the Pineville location had to call the Northlake office to have the dress altered. I felt like their should have been some type of discount applied, but that's another story.

Today I went into the Northlake location to pay on the balance for the dress and the staff was very rude. No one greeted me, they all acted as if they had some place better to be.

I really don't advise anyone to visit this location, if you are considering visiting a David's Bridal, please visit the PINEVILLE, NC LOCATION!!!!!

I had almost $1,000 worth of alterations done to my dress. When I came to pick up my dress 10 days before the wedding, they told me to go ahead & sign off on it before trying it on. I told them I wanted to try it on & when I did, I saw it was completely stained all over! They pretended they had "no idea what happened" & said it wasn't a big deal. After meeting with the district manager multiple times they only would compensate me with $30 so I could "go out for lunch because of my troubles". They are terrible & a HUGE scam!!! Take if from me & don't step foot in David's Bridal!!!!!

Do NOT come to this location! They are awful, unorganized and not helpful!

As far as for David's Bridal itself, I can't say enough good things. They have decent prices & everything is gorgeous; I also love how they can coordinate colors with Men's Warehouse making it very convenient.

As far as this particular location, the customer service is FAR LESS than satisfactory. When you call, IF they answer, you are immediately put on hold and ignored. I have called multiple times & requested a customer service representative, only to listen to the phone ring in my ear continuously as they just simply will not answer.

When you go to the actual store, they are COMPLETELY unorganized. Actually, unorganized is an understatement. There is often a large amount of people waiting at the door to talk to someone, but there is nobody for them to talk to. You see associates walking by, but nobody offers to help. Even if you schedule an appointment, it is useless; you will be left waiting for an extended period of time, guaranteed.

The consultants are friendly, but helpful, not so much. They seem more concerned in making sure you purchase as much as you can, then what your actual budget is.. this makes sense considering the fact they receive commission off of what they sell. RIDICULOUS. They often have more than one bride at a time, and you are constantly left alone to find what you need yourself.

I would definitely recommend that you go to David's Bridal but NOT to this location!! You WILL regret it. Don't bother calling to even ask a question.. they won't answer. And Karen here is specifically awful!

IF A PERSONAL EXPERIENCE IS WHAT YOU WANT, YOU WON'T FIND IT HERE.

David's Bridal @NorthLake

When I walked in, I was greeted right away, and assisted momentarily. The sales reps that I had were very helpful and professional. While trying on several dresses, the attendant was very dedicated to helping me,and supported the style I was looking for in a dress. She helped me with every detail.

I really was not sure of my dress size so I guessed a close estimate, when I needed a bigger size, the attendant really tried to assist me in finding the correct fits. The only problem was that the store/company itself had only ordered a few sizes in specific dresses, so the ones I really liked did not fit, and I am not very big...about average.

However, they were dedicated to meeting my needs as well as they could. The atmosphere was calm, relaxing, comforting, professional, and the attendant had a great disposition. She chatted with me professionally, yet comfortably, was kind and polite. I enjoyed my experience, even if I did not find exactly what I was looking for, I would still go back and try more dresses.

Shop somewhere else!!

David Bridal on Northlake Centre Pkwy is horrible. If you want a good experience shopping and being comfortable with picking out a gown please go somewhere else. There customer service skills are horrible and they all have attitude problems Especially the manager she has short hair and is darkskin. Very Very Rude! Trust me go somewhere else dont go there.

Unnecessary stress added - You will want to learn from my experience!!!

My experience with David's Bridal has left a bad taste in my mouth. Wedding planning is stressful enough in itself, and the staff at the Independence store in Charlotte, NC added more fuel to the fire. Luckily I am a simple, prepared, and easy to please person or the experience would have given me a pre-mature heart attack.

I already had dresses picked out (bride & bridesmaid) from researching what they offer on the David's Bridal website. Good thing!!! When I got to the store, which was not busy, no one even welcomed my mother, sister, and myself to the store. In fact, we did not see an employee for several minutes. When someone finally acknowledged we were there, we were still left to search on our own. I have heard several bad comments about this store and it's staff, but I really wanted to look at this one dress. However, I did see what people were talking about. The staff is lacking professionalism, class, knowledge of their product, and much more!!!

Early July, two of my girls ordered their shoes to match the color of the bridesmaids dresses. While they were ordering their shoes, another bride was picking up shoes that were supposed to be dyed to the color of the dresses. The heels of the shoes were not dyed! They forgot that part! A month passed and we realized we had not heard about the shoes. I called the store, they looked in the system, she confirmed the wedding date as August 31, let me know the shoes are in but they are not dyed. Then she told me they will be ready ON AUGUST 31st. I was silent for a moment and then reminded her that the wedding is ON AUGUST 31st. She assured me they will be ready on the 15th. I called the next day to make sure this employee in fact made the changes she claimed she would do.

Beware ladies!!!

P.S. I just found out on the DB website the store is relocating. They failed to mention that to me on the phone!

Got my wedding dress here, defying logic

I admit I'm a *bit* of a snob and I would have never thought I'd get my dress @ David's Bridal. I went to try on a bunch of dresses to get an idea of what looked good on me. I stumbled across the PERFECT gown and it was exactly what I was looking for. The best part? It was only $350, which was a tenth of my budget for the gown. Now I will admit - the staff is not exactly the upper crop of society, sorry if that sounds rude. It was a bit noisy and busy (I went on a Saturday), so if you're looking for the ""boutiquey"" experience this is definitely not it. But the point is, I got my perfect dress here (and a veil and shoes...). I took my dress somewhere else for the alterations. The dress, while perfect for me, is definitely of medium quality. If you're looking for Vera Wang, this isn't it, but who really notices the designer of a bride's gown? I recommend.
