I just had my large arched foyer window tinted. The installer was cordial, professional, and efficient in his installation. He kept everything tidy and even graciously replaced a light bulb for me in my chandelier that he noticed was out. (Very considerate since there was no way I was going to get up that high any time soon.) The window film, 3M ceramic, isn't noticeable at all - which is what I wanted (just desired UV blockage for rugs & wood floors). The price was the best quote I received and very affordable - beat all the others by $30-$40. (Prior to installation, Mr. Organ personally presented all the options at my home and left samples and price quotes.) I will see how the tintng does over time, but for now I am pleased and would recommend this company.

I went to this shop with an employee that works for me to check on the prices for window tinting. I looked at getting some prices for my car (a Lexus) and she got a quote for her Honda Accord (4 windows and rear) for $150 or $165 depending on the film.
The prices seemed fine to her and so she scheduled an appointment. She stayed and also got prices for having some residential work done as well. She was excited to have her car to be done and her home window skylights tinted.
Upon arrival to have her car done, she asked to have the price confirmed and the price was changed to $190. She reminded them (a different employee) that she was quoted $165. They said that it was not a $165; but rather $190.
She walked out. She has cancelled her residential services and has had her car tinting done with SunStoppers just outside the 485 loop towards Monroe on 74, even though it was more than their ""revised"" cost. I think she's getting a better product and SunStoppers were certainly more honest.

It took them 3 hrs to tint my windows versus the 1.5 to 2 hr timeframe they originally quoted. They drained my battery by forgetting to turn off the interior light while they tinted my windows. I called and spoke to the owner who accepted zero resonsibility, she just told me that this happens sometimes and then made the idiotic comment that German batteries are not made as well as batteries in the US before rudely hanging up on me. I ended having to get the battery replaced and the computer reset in my car for the price of $209. Choosing this place cost me a lot more in the long run so save yourself the headache and terrible customer service by going to another shop. Simply Awful!!!

I researched window tinting and narrowed it down to 3 companies. Charlotte Glass Tinting was one of the companies. The company is professional from start to finish. The salesman was knowledgeable and respectful. The glass installers were very pleasant and professional. The workmanship was excellent. I'm very happy I selected this company to do my residential tinting.

Having used other tint shops in the past I was looking for something better. I found it at Auto Xtras. They've been in Charlotte over 16 years and they do work for the highline dealerships in Charlotte. They were very helpfun in the different types of window tint, the state laws and more important they did'nt high presssure me. I got a appointment that same day, did'nt have to show up and just waite all day. The work was done in about an hour and the quality really showed when they pulled my car around. Everyone was very friendly and knowledgeable. They have free WYFI and Timewarner cable. I was able to get caught up on my e-mails and had a very pleasant experience. Thanks AutoXtras.
