I have spent a lot of money at this establishment. It is disappointing to know they do not value their customers. I arrived at this store minutes before their closure. The worker disgustingly rolled his eyes & yelled "We're closed!" when it had not yet reached their closing time. I will rather drive across town to Tisun Beauty Supply than to spend my money here. Besides, they have a better, larger selection anyway. Respect your patrons.
Carolina Beauty Supply gets no stars. They are so worried about the loss of dollar or two instead of looking at the big picture. I was a repeat customer and came all the way from the south side to go to their lousy store. The representative told me she couldn't take the item back unless there was a defect. The fact that it didn't work according to my expectations makes it a defect. That store disappointed me so bad that I had to write about them as many times as possible. They are lucky there aren't on facebook. I would trash them there too.
I wish that I could give it no stars because that is exactly what they deserve. I understand that they don't give refunds; however, to make me keep an item that I wasn't happy with or failed to meet my expectations and that I will never use is ridiculous. I wanted to take that money and use it towards something that I could use and did want and was told that because it wasn't a manufacture defect that it couldn't be returned. i work hard for my money and don't think that I should be stuck with an item that I don't want or won't use. The crazy thing is that I came in to spend more money with them in addition to my return, but they will never get another dollar. I'm just one person but customer service is everything to me.
Carolina beauty supply gets no stars. They lost a customer over 20 funky dollars. They rather have a customer be stuck with an item they don't like or can't use rather than to retain their customers and keep their customers happy. Their brand of customer service sucks.
This business does not respect the African American community that keeps it up and running. Many of the employees don’t speak English and the one or two that do speak English treat Black customers with little to no respect at all when there is a problem with a purchase. You will NOT get a refund OR store credit even, and especially if the store manager offers it to you to get you to purchase any of the hair products. When a customer has an issue the manager and workers start speaking in Spanish and laughing and snorting as if the whole thing is a joke. The manager will lie and say he did not offer you store credit. In my case the manager opened a pack of expensive hair to show me how to make hair clip-ons. I said, “What if it doesn’t work for me, that’s a lot of money to spend on something that might not work.” He said, “You can bring it back if it don’t work, I can’t give you money back but I can give you store credit.” So, I bought the already opened package that he had clipped the twist and pulled the hair from the string to demonstrate with. Well, I went back three times because they kept finding something wrong with the package. The first time was my fault because I forgot the Plastic insert, but the last two times made it clear they had no intention of giving me a store credit. They said it had to be in “Original Condition” The insanity of their rude behavior was that the manger offered to exchange the hair for exactly the same hair! I didn’t get that at all! Why not give me the store credit to get other items that I could use. Anyway, I was stunned and extremely disappointed in the treatment of Blacks at this business, especially when they get ALL their business from the Black community. I had already noticed that they do not hire any Black people at all. If they did it was not for any length of time at all. I have never seen any Black employees in any visible area of this business at all. I hope our community will stop spending hard earned money in a business that not only do not support our community but treat Black people disrespectfully and with no considerate customer service at all. I will not spend another penny at Carolina Beauty Supply. And Tacho, the manager is a liar and a smiling thief. He smiled and said to me “You made the decision to buy.” My decision was based on his promise that I could return for store credit. I thought he was a decent person but he allows and teaches his workers to be as deceptive and discourteous as he is.
Will never get my money--just lost a customer. I was shopping around to get prices on wet and wavy weave. Called them and they said they could not give prices over the phone. I asked "why" and they said it was "just their store policy". Don't plan to drive around and then be disappointed when I get to that store. It is not like there is some secret recipe or anything. Do not want to give them my money if they are not open about their prices. Shady way to do business.
this place is my favorite store.. really nice.. its clean well organized.. all employees knows their product..
I never had problems with the hair I bought from them.. all my friends go there..
they also have sales on their hair all the time.. if you have not gone there you are missing out!!
