This review is about "Club300" (which is a part of Bar Charlotte)...the supposed friendly and safe, non-alcoholic club for teens between the ages of 14-18.
THIS PLACE IS NOT SUITABLE FOR UNDERAGE TEENS!! I just came from there. I allowed my 15-year-old daughter to go to a "foam party" tonight with a high-school friend and her friend. I did not feel fully comfortable with the idea, so I figured I would go check on them (yes...I am that kind of parent). So, I walked into the club at around 9:16pm. Everybody is covered in soap suds. The club was playing a hip-hop song about licking p*ssy. And there is my 15-year-old daughter with a complete stranger (who was obviously much older), who was dancing and grinding behind her. While they were dancing, he was cupping her breasts and running his hands down between her legs. Her two friends were doing the exact same thing. So, I walked up and told the guy to take a walk. I grabbed my daughter by the arm and led her out of there. Her friends were freaking, afraid that I was going to tell their parents (which I did). I grabbed my daughter by the arm and led her out of there, and took her home. (Before we went home, we had to stop at the girl's house to pick up my daughter's belongings. There, the girl's mother and I had a long conversation. She was just has upset as I was because she thought that Club300 was safe for kids. IT IS NOT SAFE FOR KIDS!!)
What my daughter and her friends did was wrong, and they should have known better. However, all of the claims on Club300's Facebook page are totally false.
1) The music that they play is TOTALLY inappropriate for 15-year-olds.
2) I saw no security inside the club what-so-ever.
3) There were teenagers grinding and feeling each other up all over the place.
4) If you read the FAQ, it states that NO PARENTS ARE ALLOWED IN THE CLUB AFTER 9:00PM...Gee, I wonder why that is?
This is no place for underage teenagers. Besides, the Facebook page states that the club is for teenagers between the ages of 14-18 years of age. A person who is 18-YEARS-OLD is an adult and has no business being in a club with underage kids. On Tuesday of this week, I am going to contact an attorney and see if there is anything we can do about this. This club is aiding and abetting in the delinquency of minors and should be shut down.

This place is awful. I've only gone b/c someone told me it was good for a laugh once. It is definitely entertaining but not in a good way. The atmosphere is smokey, skanky, and underage written all over it. The bartenders are dressed like sluts, girls are hopping up and grinding on stripper poles on the dj booth, and there's a swing (and mechanical bull). It has a raunchy strip club feel, and waitresses walking around with electric pink test tube shots. It's not a classy scene at ALL. If you're looking for a nice place to go- THIS is not it. If you want a laugh or if ""sleeze"" is your thing, well... knock yourself out. The majority of the people there are guys, probably looking to score.. there isn't too much dancing going on (more like standing around).. And you know how sometimes bars would shoot out confetti or something? This place shoots out napkins. YES. Napkins.. Dirty. nasty, gross... just say no.

I was with my husband and my 19 year-old sister on Saturday night at the back entrance to Bar Charlotte, at around midnight.
The line was very long. Since we weren't sure if the bar is 18 and above,we went to ask the Bar Charlotte employee checking IDs at the entrance. My husband approached him to enquire and as the music was blaring, he had to step a little close to the individual to ask him the question.
The employee appeared to be listening but then he just grimaced and rudely asked my husband to get in line. We tried to explain to him that we just wanted to know if the club was 18 and above and he physically shoved my husband!
Given that he did this with such impunity implies that the establishment has given him carte blanche to treat customers any way he deems fit.
So if you fancy a taste of assualt with a side of boorish/uncouth customer service, then by all means this is the place for you. If you're looking for a bar with trained professionals who know how to treat paying customers, I suggest you go elsewhere.

This bar should be shut down. Its gross, bathrooms are nasty, odd crowd and its like teen age strippers everywhere. Not for me! Maybe if I were 18 years old again. The bar tender was a B.I.T. CH, she did not get a tip from me. Very crowded and I felt like everyone was sweating on me. The drinks weren't worth it and overall the whole club wasn't worth it.

I've been to plenty of clubs and nightclubs in Charlotte and other areas, and this is about the skankiest club I've ever been to. I can't believe young women would stoop to the level to dress as strippers when it's not even a strip club (I understand that). What was even nastier was the swing. Ewww, seriously, could this bar even be trashier. It's definitely more of a college bar where women could care less about how little they wear and the men just prey on them. I can't believe I actually stayed there more than an hour. If you do go, get really drunk so you don't remember going!
