Based in Charlotte, N.C., Autism Services of Mecklenburg County Inc. is a community service organization, offering residential and support services for residents of North Carolina with autism, traumatic brain injuries and other developmental disabilities. Established in 1979, the organization also has a diverse community services department offering periodic services, such as home and community supports, respite care, and supported employment. It also operates a licensed after school program and a summer camp for children with autism and three alternative family living (AFL) homes.
