I have been a patient with Dr. Martin for over 10 yrs. My parents moved to Charlotte and needed a good dentist, and a friend referred us here. We have been extremely happy! He does great work and I love that the staff and Dr. Martin talk throughout the appt. It has always kept me calm during dental work. He has a great group, that is fun and entertaining. They are all educated and know what they are doing. Would definitely recommend this office!

Warning, don't go in there if you have bad teeth, because of years of no insurance and bad genes! Your ego will be blown out the door! He was rude! Saying, ""This is going to cost a lot of money and that's if we can keep the molar"" in a cold fashion. Then walked out.. That was it!!
The assistant was holding the bag the whole time! The office personnel was sweet! But of all the years, I have never seen a dentist destroy someone l love or anyone like that! So, Genepoole's comment probably isn't that far off..

Martin is a talented guy, but way overpriced and obviously runs patients out the door with his chairside manner and ridiculous pricing. Due to constant advertising I feel he's trying to replace customers, most dentists that have been in one place for years never advertise. I referred someone .....while he was eating lunch and the doc came into the room sandwich in hand looking at x rays. The price quoted was $200 more than her retiring dentist on a $350.00 procedure (price from Martin).
In my case I just thought I was a number and doc chatted with his staff constantly about his kids soccer game and such, the techs/listeners were in other rooms. Last straw was quote for implants, 11,000 dollars, oral surgeon would do it for 4k. I had a bone sticking out of my gums near where I had a tooth extracted by Martin. After being told they can't help me til Monday another dentist referred me to oral surgeon.

This was the best dental visit I have ever experienced. My Husband and I got a nice deal on livingsocial for a cleaning, exam and xrays. When we arrived we were already impressed! We were welcomed with warm smiles from the Staff. When you are brought back to begin your services, you are led to a very comfy chair with a built in massage device that works up and down your back...SUPER RELAXING..and if that isn't enough pampering, they then hand you a remote to your very own flatscreen TV nicely positioned over your head for viewing pleasure!!!! My Hygenist Jen took very good care of me and was extremely personable. Heather at the Front Desk was very pleasant and was so helpful with our questions..she actually emailed me to say she had inquired on the insurance information we were asking about that very same day! Customer Service was Outstanding!! Truely the best experience I have ever had on a trip to the Dentist!! Thank you Art Dentistry Staff..and we will definitely be back!!!!
If you are looking for an efficient, friendly, and professional experience at the dentist's office, then perhaps you need to visit ART Dentistry. I've been a patient there since it was established, and have always been treated quickly and professionaly. The staff has always been friendly, and Dr Martin always sharp and at his best. Now you get to sit back and have a rolling shoulder massage chair relax you while having the option to view the tube overhead. It sure beats staring at tooth charts and gum disease images for entertainment. I'd highly recommend these folks for your dental needs!
i have been a patient at Art Dentistry for 5 years and have had to have extensive work. I have to say I have never had a better Dentist. The office staff is the best. These people enjoy what they do and enjoy working for Dr Todd Martin. He is a very nice guy but he isn't a super sweet guy at first but after you get to know him a little he opens up with a great sense of humor and makes you feel very comfortable. The service is second to none and if you are a sissy like me when it comes to dentist then don't worry he will hook up the nitrous and relax you before work is started . There are some new employess in the last couple years that have come in and made it much better. I read one reveiw that was not accurate and must have been a competetor . He said the reviews were from staff and he had a bad experience. I just don't think that could happen since Dr Martins standards are so high.
My family has been going to Dr. Martins office for 13 years now. The staff is friendly and professional. Dr Martin is a perfectionist and we are very confident in his ability to do exceptional work. His bedside manner and people skills need some help but we come for his expertise, not for his association. The overhead Tv's and chairs are a bonus to help relax. Because Dr. Martin is an excellent dentist and the Technicians are friendly and knowledgeable, I would recommend Art Dentistry to anyone.

I went to Dr. Martin because he is located in an office building with other reputable doctors which is close to where I live.
First of all, I arrived on time for my appointment, and I was the only person in the waiting area when I arrived. Nonetheless, for some reason I had to wait 45 minutes for the technician to walk me back to a room. No apolgies, nothing.
On a positive note, technicians were extremely friendly and more than willing to explain things to me, which made me feel very comfortable. There is a TV above the chair so you can watch tv while they're working, and the chair massages your back. They also have state of the art equipment, which is reassuring.
I think I saw Dr. Martin for a total of 30 seconds, which is quite strange to me. I understand that dentists aren't usually the ones to do the dirty work, but I expected some sort of exam. He was also very short with me and didn't have very good people skills.
Overall, If you're looking for a high tech office, you are not concerned about price, and not concerned about seeing a personable dentist who dedicates a lot of time examining you, then this might be a good dentist for you.

I have NEVER EVER taken the time to make a post about my opinion or experience, but if this will prevent others from making the same mistake I did when I picked this place, then here it goes:
Recently, I had some work done by Dr. Martin and I have to agree with the other reviewer who said they had a terrible time and the positive reviews must be from staff...who were probably forced into posting them for fear they might lose their jobs if they didn't.
Don't be fooled by the state of the art equipment because surely we the patients are helping to pay for this equipment. Cost aside, he was the roughest, rudest dentist I have ever encountered...and I'm a guy who can take some pain. I felt like I was in dental bootcamp, the way he barked orders at me and the assistant and shoved my head around.
The rest of the staff was VERY pleasant, but that does not make up for this dentist. His bedside manner was just atrocious. And who knows about the quality of work. Only time will tell.
I hope you will read this before you endure one of his appointments.
