Expect fresh, unique and beautifully plated Italian food here. The appetizers are to die for, so be careful that you don't fill up on them. I had the Linguini Con Gamberi and it was a delicious blend of shrimp, fresh vegetables, Prosciutto with a pesto sauce and rich seasonings. I enjoyed personalized service even though I was in a large group. The only issue is the noise, especially if you sit near the kitchen. It was hard to have a conversation.
I am very upset that this restaurant did nothing to compensate a relative of mines for losing his debit card at an event that this restaurant help to cater to on New Years Eve. My cousin was visiting here in Charlotte, who is proudly serving his country in the Marines, just got back off a third tour from Afghanistan. To make a long story short, my cousin ordered bottles of wine for his wife birthday, they charged his debit card but lost it and did nothing to compensate him for anything. These people do no care for their customers and the food they catered was not even worth the money. I usually don't write reviews, but since I like to read reviews on where I am going, I thought the public should know as well. I would not suggest this restaurant to anyone!

Myself and 3 girlfirends stopped at aria last night for drinks and dinner. Loved the Sparkling Cosmo! Bartenders were very busy but still very attentive.
We stayed for dinner and sat in the dining room with the biggest kitchen window, you can see it all! Really fun! We shared the antipasto and the wild mushroom pizza which was delisious. Then we had the half chicken, which was huge, the butternut squash ravioli and the beef shortrib, and we shared it all. The portions were perfect, plenty for us to share and really flavorful simple food.
Will absolutely go back. Great bar crowd and busy dining room, and the food just topped it off!

awful italian food, the gnocchi is presented like home fries and the meal itself was very bland, even though quail and root veggies sounded good! not to mention that the noise coming out of the kitchen is extremely loud; could hear the staff cussing and so forth. and to top it off it is very expensive, i will not be going back

A $16Chicken Parmigiana: Melted Mozzarella, Parmigiano & Sautéed Spinach. Is listed on the menu.... MMMMmmm... Can't wait to get my hands on this... It is gonna be good! I can imagine this yummy hand breaded chicken lightly fried with a nice moist topping of spinach and a nice portion of spaghetti with home made marinara to fill me up!
You get a surf board plate with an eh-ok chicken breast with mozzarella cheese on one side and a portion of spinach on the other side. Politely I waited.. and waited... and waited... Finally, I flagged the server over and asked about my pasta...
It is not served with Pasta. WHAT! $8 later I have a soup bowl half full of penne delivered to the table.
AVOID the Gnocchi: The Gnocchi was served like home fries at a waffle house... Nothing Italian about the presentation or taste. It was potatoes grilled with home fries toppings in a bowl
